Abstract

Refleksi diri adalah kemampuan manusia untuk melakukan introspeksi dan kemauan untuk belajar lebih dalam mengenai sifat dasar manusia, tujuan dan esensi hidup. Despair digambarkan sebagai kondisi dimana manusia yang kerap memercayai apapun yang diinginkan dibanding memikirkan kemungkinan yang akan terjadi diluar kapasitasnya. Penciptaan karya seni ini merupakan refleksi diri atas sumber inspirasi yang datang dari pengalaman pribadi (perceraian orangtua), berada dalan situasi despair. Interes seni yang diangkat yakni reflektif, dengan interes bentuknya figuratif. Prinsip estetika yang diadaptasikan dalam penelitian ini adalah seni rupa kontemporer. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah artistic research. Karya terdiri dari komponen-komponen yangt terangkai menjadi satu dan ditampilkan dalam wujud trimatra. Perupa berharap bahwa, karya penciptaan ini dapat dijadikan suatu pembelajaran terhadap makna filosofis kehidupan. ***** Self-reflection is the human ability to introspect and the willingness to learn more about human nature, the purpose and essence of life. Despair is described as a condition where humans often believe in whatever they want rather than thinking about the possibilities that will happen beyond their capacity. The creation of this artwork is a self-reflection on the source of inspiration that comes from personal experience (parental divorce), being in a situation of despair. The artistic interest raised is reflective, with interest in figurative form. The aesthetic principle adapted in this research is contemporary art. The research method used is artistic research. The work consists of components that are strung together and displayed in threedimensional form. The artist hopes that this work of creation can be used as a lesson in the philosophical meaning of life.
