Abstract
Metode Tune A Day dan metode Suzuki mempunyai tujuan yang berbeda, yaitu metode Tune A Day berfokus kepada teknik permainan biola sedangkan metode Suzuki mengutamakan pembentukan rasa musik pada diri peserta didik. *** The research method is descriptive qualitative. The research was conducted at the researcher's house and at the SLB Santi Rama. The object of the research is the teaching of the violin which is carried out in the violin extracurricular at SLB Santi Rama. Research subjects are educators. Data was collected through observation videos, interviews, and written sources. Data analysis was carried out by making notes from field notes, making interview transcripts, and removing data that were not related to the research topic. Triangulation is done by re-examining the results of data analysis from data collection in the form of observations, interviews, and literature studies with experts. The results showed that teaching the violin to deaf children at the SLB Santi Rama used violin learning methods in the form of the Tune A Day method and the Suzuki method according to the steps applied. The Tune A Day method and the Suzuki method have different goals, namely the Tune A Day method focuses on violin playing techniques while the Suzuki method prioritizes the formation of a sense of music in students. Teaching the violin to deaf children at SLB Santi Rama for the Deaf uses the language of instruction in the form of sign language which refers to SIBI (Indonesian Sign Language System). There is a classification of deaf children which will affect the methods and methods used. In this study, deaf children have a resistance of 25 dB which is still relatively light.
