Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripskian Komunitas Virtual SayaGolput yang hadir di arena politik pemilihan umum 2019. Sebagai wujud dari kelompok masyarakat sipil yang bersatu untuk menyuarakan kritiknya terhadap kondisi pemilihan umum 2019. Penelitian ini juga bertujuan untuk menganalisis bentuk partisipasi politik lewat pilihan alternatif yaitu memilih menjadi golongan putih 2019. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui observasi, dokumentasi, studi kepustakaan dan wawancara dengan subjek penelitian dengan jumlah sepuluh orang yang terdiri dari satu orang admin SayaGolput, dua orang penggiat HAM, satu orang penggiat demokrasi,satu orang korban HAM, satu orang penggiat anti korupsi, satu orang ketua organisasi yang bergabung ke dalam komunitas, satu orang akademisi, satu orang mahasiswa dan satu orang peneliti politik. Lokasi penelitian ini dilakukan di Jakarta pada bulan Januari 2019 hingga Januari 2020. Penelitian ini menggunakan konsep masyarakat sipil (civil society) dan Partisipasi Politik. Berdasarkan hasil temuan dalam penilitian ini menunjukan bahwa SayaGolput termasuk ke dalam komunitas virtual karena mereka terbentuk akibat pengunaan media sosial yang digunakan oleh para pendukungnya. Komunitas Virtual SayaGolput menyuarakan dan mendeklarasikan diri untuk memilih menjadi bagian dari golongan putih ideologis. Tiga faktor yang menjadi dasar kelompok ini hadir adalah karena ketidakpercayaan terhadap sistem pemilu, ketidakpercayaan terhadap kandidat dan kekecewaan terhadap penyelenggaraan negara. Terdapat beberapa hal yang sudah dilakukan oleh komunitas ini seperti kampanye di media sosial, melaksanakan deklarasi dan melaksanakan diskusi. Dalam menunjukan eksistensinya terdapat beberapa hambatan yang dialami oleh komunitas ini seperti persiapan yang terlalu singkat, tidak ada struktur, pernyataan pemerintah ataupun sikap aparat yang diskriminatif dan bullying ataupun cyberbullying yang dialami oleh Komunitas Virtual SayaGolput. Tetapi, pada kenyataannya angka partisipasi politik pada pemilu 2019 mengalami kenaikan dan angka golput pada pemilu mengalami penurunan. Undergraduate Thesis, Jakarta, Sociology, Faculty of Social Sciences, State University of Jakarta. 2020 This research aims to describe SayaGolput, a virtual community that emerges in the political arena of 2019 general election. The community appears as a form of civil society that aspire to voice their critics against the election in 2019. This research also aims to analyze the forms of political participation through alternative choices, which is the white voters of 2019 election. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Research data were obtained through observation, documentation, literature study and in-depth interview with research subjects consisting of ten informants, one administrator of the SayaGolput community, two human rights activist, one democracy ideologist, one human rights victim, one anti-corruption activist, one community leader which joined SayaGolput, one scholar, one college student, and one political researcher. The research was conducted in Jakarta on January 2019 to January 2020. This research uses the concept of civil society and political participation. Based on the findings in this study, The SayaGolput civil society belongs to the virtual community, because they are formed due to the use of social media which are utilized by their supporters. The SayaGolput community voiced and declared themselves to be an ideologist of white voters. There are three main factors concerning SayaGolput emergence which is because their distrust to the electoral system and the candidates, also their disappointment to the state administration. The movement involves a lot of things in common between individuals who do indeed feel a mutual unrest towards the 2019 general election. There are a number of things that have been done by SayaGolput such as campaigns on social media, declarations, and conducting discussions. In demonstrating its existence there are several obstacles experienced by the community such as hasty preparation of events, non-existent organizational structure in the community, government’s policy or the the attitude of the discriminatory apparatus and harrasment or cyberbullying that is experinced by the supporters of SayaGolput virtual community. However, in reality the number of political participation in the 2019 elections has increased and the number of abstentions/ white voters in the election has decreassed.
