Abstract

Pada umumnya anak autis dikenal memiliki gangguan perkembangan yang mengakibatkan mereka mengalami hambatan dalam produksi pemahaman bahasa dan komunikasi. Aspek perkembangan anak autis dapat ditingkatkan dengan beragam metode pembelajaran untuk mengatasi kesulitan-kesulitan yang dihadapi anak. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian studi literatur dengan jenis penelitian kuantitatif, yaitu meta analisis dengan metode yang digunakan pre-post contrast. Data dicari melalui bantuan aplikasi Publish or Perish. Hasil pengujian meta analisis dengan lima jurnal didapatkan rerata populasi (summary effect) sebesar 1,279. Taraf signifikansi model fixed effect dengan nilai Z 16,39 menunjukkan nilai uji one tailed test maupun two tailed test sebesar (0,000 0,05). Dengan kata lain, penggunaan metode pembelajaran dinilai efektif diterapkan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan bahasa dan komunikasi bagi anak autis. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan, metode pembelajaran yang termasuk, yaitu metode PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System), Floortime, Son Rise, dan Glenn Doman dapat meningkatkan kemampuan bahasa dan komunikasi yang digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran. Karena setelah dilakukan analisis dalam penelitian ini, terlihat adanya peran metode pembelajaran terhadap peningkatan bahasa dan komunikasi anak autis. In general, children with autism are known to have developmental disorders that result in them experiencing obstacles in the production of language understanding and communication. Aspects of the development of children with autism can be improved with a variety of learning methods to overcome the difficulties faced by children. This research is a literature study with a quantitative type of research, namely meta-analysis with the method used pre-post contrast. Data is searched through the help of the Publish or Perish application. The results of meta-analysis testing with five articles obtained a population mean (summary effect) of 1.279. The significance level of the fixed effect model with a Z value of 16.39 shows the value of one-tailed test and two-tailed test of (0.000-0.05). In other words, the use of learning methods is considered effective applied to improve language and communication skills for children with autism. Based on the results of research that has been done, the learning methods included, namely the PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System), Floortime, Son Rise, and Glenn Doman methods can improve language and communication skills used in the learning process. Because after the analysis in this research, it was seen there a role of learning methods in improving the language and communication in children with autism.
