Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between cultural intelligence and cultural self-efficacy in Indonesian students who are currently studying abroad and live there. The approach used in this study is quantitative with a correlational design. The research sample was 157 Indonesian students that are spread into 8 groups of world regions, namely UK-Ireland, Europe, East Asia, Southeast Asia, Middle East, Australia, Russia, and the US. Samples were collected using purposive sampling technique. The instrument used in this research is an adaptation of the Cultural Intelligence Scale and Cultural Self-Efficacy Scale. Hypotheses were tested using correlation analysis. The results of the analysis showcased a positive relationship between cultural intelligence and cultural self-efficacy (p < 0.5). In sum, the higher the cultural intelligence, the higher the cultural self-efficacy would be, and this applied as reverse.
