Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menginvestigasi kejelasan dan ketertautan rantai penalaran antara masalah penelitian, temuan, dan simpulan. Penelitian ini dimulai pada bulan Januari sampai Juli 2013. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian deskriptif sebagai kerangka kerja dalam menganalisa 50 skripsi da dalam lima tahun terakhir, 2009 – 2013, dari kedua program studi yaitu pendidikan dan sastra. Dalam proses pengumpulan data, penelitian ini menggunakan quota sampling. Dalam menganalisa data, penelitian ini menggunakan analisis konten. Dalam menimpulkan hasil penelitian, penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian deskriptif dengan hasil dijelaskan dan diikuti oleh analisis. Sebagai hasil penelitian, kejelasan dan ketertautan rantai penalaran antara masalah penelitian dan temuan ditemukan bahwa: 50% jelas dan bertaut, 9% jelas tetapi tidak bertaut, 19% tersirat tetapi bertaut, 15% tersirat dan tidak bertaut, 7% tidak ditemukan rantai penalarannya. Selain itu, kejelasan dan ketertautan rantai penalaran antara temuan dan simpulan ditemukan bahwa: 55% jelas dan bertaut; 20% tersirat tetapi bertaut; 4% tersirat tetapi bertaut; 12% tersirat dan tidak bertaut; 9% tidak ditemukan rantai penalarannya. ***** The study was aimed to investigate the explicitness and coherence of Chain of reasoning between research problem, findings, and conclusion in ED UNJ students’ skripsi. This study was started on January to July 2013. This study used descriptive research as the framework in analyzing 50 skripsi in the last five years, 2009 – 2013, from both literature and educational study program. In the process of collecting data, this study used quota sampling. In analyzing the data, the study used content analysis. In presenting the result of the research, this study used descriptive research where result is described and followed with an analysis. As the result of study, the coherence and explicitness of chain of reasoning between Research problem and finding was found that: 50% were explicit and coherent; 9% were explicit but incoherent; 19% were implicit but coherent; 15% were implicit and incoherent; 7% were non-existent and incoherent. In addition, the coherence and explicitness of chain of reasoning between finding and conclusion was found that: 55% were explicit and coherent; 20% were explicit but incoherent; 4% were implicit but coherent; 12% were implicit and incoherent; 9% conclusions were non-existent and incoherent.
