Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran orang tua dalam mencegah kekerasan seksual pada remaja melalui pendidikan seks. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan metode fenomenologi. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini meliputi observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan reduksi data, penyajian, data dan kesimpulan atau verifikasi. Subjek yang berpartisipasi dalam penelitian ini meliputi 6 sumber informasi yang terbagi menjadi 4 sumber informan utama dan 2 sumber informan pendukung. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa persepsi orang tua terhadap pendidikan seksual yang ditemukan peneliti memiliki karakteristik informasi serta pengetahuan yang cenderung minim. Sedangkan, peran pendidikan seks yang bersifat aplikatif tidak dapat diimplementasikan secara optimal tanpa melalui proses upaya yang bersifat komprehensif. Temuan lainnya menunjukkan bahwa konstruksi sosial yang terjadi pada masyarakat terutama para orang tua tersebut hanya memprioritaskan secara eksternal sebagai bagian dari upaya pendidikan seks dan tidak terintegrasi dengan pengembangan norma lainnya. Sebab itu perlu adanya strategi pendidikan seks sebagai bagian dari pendidikan masyarakat. ***** This study aims to determine the role of parents in preventing sexual violence in adolescents through sex education. The approach used in this research is descriptive qualitative with phenomenological methods. Data collection techniques used in this study include observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis uses data reduction,presentation, data and conclusions or verification. Subjects who participated in this study included 6 sources of information which were divided into 4 main informants and 2 supporting informants. The results showed that the parents' perception of sexual education found by the researchers had the characteristics of information and knowledge that tended to be minimal. Meanwhile, the applicative role of sex education cannot be implemented optimally without going through a comprehensive effort process. Other findings show that the social construction that occurs in society, especially the parents, only prioritizes externally as part of sex education efforts and is not integrated with the development of other norms. Therefore, it is necessary to have a sex education strategy as part of community education.
