Abstract

Penelitian kualitatif ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana proses pengasuhan yang dilakukan oleh orang tua dalam mendukung minat dan bakat. Narasumber dalam penelitian adalah 3 orang tua yang memiliki anak atlet remaja di Club Fajar Mas Murni. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu studi kasus Creswell. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan proses pengasuhan yang orang tua lakukan dalam mendukung minat dan bakat anak sudah tepat. Namun tidak ideal dikarenakan orang tua hanya melakukan tiga proses dari total lima proses yang ada, diantara lain uji coba minat dan bakat, penajman profesi atau kegiatan dan membuat daftar minat dan bakat anak dilakukan oleh guru Sekolah Dasar anak. Oleh sebab itu, diharapkan orang tua lebih peka terhadap hal – hal positif yang terpendam dalam diri anak sehingga proses pengasuhan dalam menemukan potensi minat unggul anak dapat ditemukan dan dikembangkan secara maksimal sedini mungkin. ***** This qualitative study aims to find out how the parenting process carried out by parents supports interests and talents. The resource persons in the study were 3 parents who had teenage athletes at Club Fajar Mas Murni. The research method used is the Creswell case study. The results of the study show that the parenting process that parents do to support children's interests and talents is appropriate. However, it is not ideal because parents only carry out three processes out of a total of five existing processes, including testing interests and talents, sharpening professions or activities and making a list of children's interests and talents carried out by children's elementary school teachers. Therefore, it is hoped that parents will be more sensitive to the positive things that are hidden in their children so that the parenting process in finding the potential for superior interests of children can be found and developed optimally as early as possible.
