Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui struktur tema atau jenis-jenis tema dalam teks bilingual Kebijakan dalam Umum Ekspor. Tema dalam formasi berfungsi sebagai "titik tolak" dari sebuah pesan. Dengan kata lain, Tema biasanya berisi informasi yang familiar, informasi lama atau informasi yang diberikan. Tema dapat diidentifikasi dalam beberapa jenis yaitu topikal, tekstual, dan interpersonal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana tema dan rema digunakan dalam teks bilingual Kebijakan pada Umum dalam Ekspor. Studi ini akan dianalisis dengan menggunakan struktur tematik Halliday. Secara keseluruhan, penelitian ini mengungkapkan bahwa tema topikal adalah tema dominan dalam Kebijakan Umum Ekspor. Penggunaan tema topikal yang mendominasi jenis tema terjadi karena penulis ingin menekankan pada subjek, situasi, atau kondisi kalimat yang merupakan partisipan dalam kegiatan ekspor. ***** The study is aimed to find out the theme structure or the types of theme in the bilingual text of General Policy on Export. Theme is given in formation serving as “the point of departure” of a message. In other words, Theme typically contains familiar, old or given information. Theme can be identified in some different types which are Topical, Textual, and Interpersonal. This study analyses how theme and rheme are used in the bilingual text of General Policy on Export. The study will be analyzed using thematic structure of Halliday. Overall, the research reveals that the Topical theme is the dominant theme in the General Policy on Export. The use of Topical theme which dominates the types of theme occurs because of the author would like to emphasize on the subject, situation, or condition of a sentence which are the participants in export activity.
