Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh pemahaman yang mendalam tentang penerjemahan implikatur percakapan dalam novel Harry Potter and The Cursed Child dan novel terjemahannya, Harry Potter dan Si Anak Terkutuk secara holistik. Subfokus penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis: 1) Faktor objektif, 2) Faktor genetik, 3) Faktor afektif, dan 4) Ideologi penerjemahan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan metode analisis isi melalui pendekatan kritik holistik. Data diambil dari: 1) Kata, frasa, klausa, dan kalimat yang mengandung unsur implikatur percakapan, 2) Informasi dari penerjemah, dan 3) Tanggapan para pembaca terhadap penilaian kualitas penerjemahan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa 1) Hasil faktor objektif; ada 3 jenis implikatur percakapan dalam novel Harry Potter and The Cursed Child, yaitu preservasi, eksplisitasi dan modifikasi. Terdapat juga 6 strategi penerjemahan yang ditemukan; literal, transposisi, modulasi, amplifikasi, adaptasi, dan reduksi. 2) Hasil faktor genetik, novel terjemahan ini ditulis oleh penerjemah yang sangat berpengalaman dalam penerjemahan. 3) Dalam Faktor afektif; kualitas penerjemahan dinilai akurat, dapat diterima dan mudah dibaca. 4) Ideologi penerjemahan merupakan ideologi pengasingan dan pembaca merasakan novel terjemahan ini memiliki “sense” yang sama dengan novel aslinya dan dipahami dengan baik oleh pembaca. Luaran penelitian ini berupa; 1) Sebuah buku dengan judul “Penerjemahan Implikatur Percakapan Dalam Novel”, 2) artikel yang telah diterbitkan di Jurnal IJMU (International Journal of Multicultural and Multireligious Understanding), 3) Artikel telah didiseminasikan di ICELS (International Conference on Education, Language, and Society). The purpose of this research is to know the conversational implicatures translation of the Harry Potter and the Cursed Child novel and its translated novel, Harry Potter dan Si Anak Terkutuk through holistik analysis. This research examined 1) Objective factors 2) Genetic factors 3) Affective factors, and 4) the ideology of translation. This research design used the qualitative method of content analysis. The research approach was a holistik critique approach. The data were: 1) Words, phrases, Clause and sentences in dialogues taken from Harry Potter and the Cursed Child and its translated version; 2) The information from the translator; and 3) Readers' responses as an assessment of translation quality. The analysis revealed that 1) In the objective factors; there were three types of conversational implicatures in the Harry Potter and The Cursed Child novel: preservation, explicitation, and modification. In addition, the six translation strategies found in the novel are transposition, modulation, literal, amplification, adaptation, and reduction strategy. 2). In terms of the genetic factors, the translator who had a Chinese literary education, she could translate English novels into Indonesian. It is due to the translator's experiences in writing and translation. 3) The affective factors results indicated that the quality of the translation was very high. The novel was accurate, acceptable, and easy to read. 4) The ideology of foreignization found in this study presented the translated novel had the same sense as the original novel. It was well understood by the readers. The outputs of this research are (1) a book entitled Penerjemahan Implikatur Percakapan dalam Novel; (2) articles have been published in IJMU (International Journal of Multicultural and Multireligious Understanding),, and (3) articles presented at ICELS (International Conference on Education, Language, and Society).
