Abstract

Penelitian pengembangan ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan instrumen kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi (HOTS) Kimia Dasar berbasis teknologi informasi menggunakan pemodelan Rasch. Instrumen ini mampu memberikan informasi mengenai kemampuan HOTS mahasiswa. Penelitian pengembangan ini menggunakan model R & D Borg and Gall. Hasil pengembangan instrumen secara konseptual yang diperoleh melalui penilaian pakar dan panelis menunjukkan bahwa setiap butir soal dengan kaidah penulisan instrumen tes obyektif pilihan ganda yang memiliki kategori HOTS telah sesuai. Pengujian dan pembakuan butir soal HOTS Kimia Dasar menggunakan analisis Clasical Test Theory (CTT) dan Item Response Theory (IRT) melalui pemodelan Rasch. Sampel berjumlah 406 mahasiswa dari Perguruan Tinggi Islam Negeri di Jakarta, Semarang, dan Yogyakarta. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 40 item dinyatakan valid secara substansi dengan nilai CVI sebesar 0,89. Hasil pengembangan instrumen HOTS Kimia Dasar berbasis teknologi informasi menggunakan pemodelan Rasch memiliki 30 item yang valid sesuai dengan yang diharapkan oleh model dan terbebas dari DIF. Hasil penelitian berikutnya, melalui pemodelan Rasch ditinjau dari tingkat kesukaran soal (item measure) instrumen Kimia Dasar menginformasikan butir soal dibagi menjadi lima kelompok, yaitu: sangat sukar, sukar, sedang, mudah, dan sangat mudah dengan demikian mampu menggambarkan butir soal dengan kecocokan model. Hasil penelitian berkaitan dengan pemodelan Rasch dilihat melalui logit yang tinggi menunjukkan tingkat kesukaran butir soal yang tinggi pada instrumen Kimia Dasar, sehingga mampu mengukur kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi, yaitu: analisis, evaluasi, dan kreasi. Instrumen HOTS Kimia Dasar sebagai penilaian Computer Based Test (CBT) yang dikembangkan sudah memiliki kelayakan untuk digunakan sebagai alat ukur kemampuan kimia bagi mahasiswa Pendidikan Kimia. Kata Kunci: HOTS, Kimia Dasar, Teknologi Informasi, Pemodelan Rasch Development of Information Technology Based Basic Chemistry Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) Instruments using Rasch Model This development research aims to produce information technology-based Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) instruments using Rasch modelling. This instrument can provide information about students' HOTS abilities. This development research uses the Borg and Gall R & D, model. The results of the conceptual instrument development obtained through expert and panellist assessments show that each item with the rules for writing multiple choice objective test instruments that have the HOTS category is appropriate. Testing and standardizing Basic Chemistry HOTS items using Classical Test Theory (CTT) and Item Response Theory (IRT) analysis through Rasch modelling. The sample consisted of 406 students from State Islamic Universities in Jakarta, Semarang and Yogyakarta. The results showed that 40 items were substantially valid with a CVI value of 0.89. The results of the development of information technology- based HOTS Basic Chemistry instruments using Rasch modelling have 30 valid items as expected by the model and are free from the DIF. The results of the next study, through Rasch modelling in terms of the difficulty level of the items (item measure) of the Elementary Chemistry instrument, informed that the items were divided into five groups, namely: very difficult, difficult, medium, easy, and very easy, thus being able to describe the items with the suitability of the model. . The results of the research related to Rasch modelling are seen through a high logit indicating a high level of item difficulty on the Elementary Chemistry instrument, to be able to measure higher order thinking skills, namely: analysis, evaluation, and creation. The Basic Chemistry HOTS instrument as a Computer Based Test (CBT) assessment that was developed already has the feasibility to be used as a measuring tool for chemistry ability for Chemistry Education students.
