Abstract

*ABSTRACT* This study aims to determine the prevalence of Relative Energy Deficiency in Sports (RED-S) Symptoms in students who work as athletes and also to determine the prevalence of Relative Energy Deficiency in Sports (RED-S) Symptoms in students who work as athletes of every gender, both male or female athlete. This research was conducted using a cross-sectional method where the research was carried out at one time. The sample in this study was 102 respondents who were taken by purposive sampling. Data collection used a questionnaire and data analysis used univariate analysis. The results showed that the most common Relative Energy Deficiency in Sport (RED-S) risk level was moderate risk, namely 88 out of 102 athletes (86.28%), while low risk and high risk took second and last place, namely 11 athletes (10.78%) and 3 athletes (2.94%). Based on gender characteristics, the risk level of Relative Energy Deficiency in Sport (RED-S) at the Faculty of Sports Science, Jakarta State University in women is as many as 58 athletes (56.86%) with the most moderate risk level (53 athletes), while those with male sex as many as 44 athletes (43.14%) with a moderate level of risk which is also mostly owned by male athletes (35 athletes).
