Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui karakteristik teknik penerjemahan yang digunakan saat menerjemahkan bahasa slang wanita atau gyaru go dalam anime Oshiete! Gyaruko chan berdasarkan peristiwa tuturnya. Anime Oshiete! Gyaruko chan yang diterjemahkan oleh Melodysubs Fansub dipilih sebagai sumber data karena dalam anime ini terdapat gyaru go lama serta baru yang masih jarang ditemui sehingga sulit dipahami oleh penonton asing. Penggunaan gyaru go memiliki kaitan dengan situasi peristiwa tutur disekitar penutur utamanya yang seorang gyaru, serta karakteristik penggunaannya yang ditinjau dari situasi dan kondisi, penutur dan lawan tutur, tujuan, bentuk dan isi ujaran, intonasi dan gestur tubuh, kode ujaran, norma dan budaya, serta sifat atau jenis peristiwa tutur yang dianalisa menggunakan komponen speaking. Penelitian ini berbentuk deskriptif kualitatif dan menggunakan metode simak dengan teknik catat untuk mengumpulkan data dan metode deskriptif kualitatif untuk menganalisis data dari sumber data. Berdasarkan hasil pengumpulan data ditemukan 32 tuturan yang mengandung gyaru go. Dari hasil analisa data ditemukan 9 teknik penerjemahan, yaitu penerjemahan harfiah, modulasi, peminjaman, kompresi linguistik, reduksi, amplifikasi, amplifikasi linguistik, substitusi, dan variasi. Berdasarkan analisa data, dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemilihan teknik-teknik tersebut tidak hanya didasarkan pada pemahaman penerjemah terhadap kosakata, kalimat, maupun tata bahasa Jepang, namun juga menyesuaikan dengan situasi peristiwa tutur yang relevan serta karakter dari penutur. Karakteristik pada penerjemahannya terlihat pada penerjemah yang menyesuaikan hasil terjemahan dengan kedelapan komponen speaking. ***** This research aims to determine the characteristics of the translation techniques used when translating female slang or gyaru go in anime Oshiete! Gyaruko chan based on the characters’ speech events. The anime Oshiete! Gyaruko chan which was translated by Melodysubs Fansub translation was chosen as the data source because there are sufficient old and new gyaru go in which are rarely found and made it difficult for foreigner viewers to understand. The use of gyaru go itself is related to the speech events around the gyaru as the main speaker, as well as the characteristics of its use in terms of situation and scenes, speakers, purpose, form and content of the speech, intonation and body gestures, speech codes, norms and culture, as well as the type of speech events analyzed using the speaking component. This research is a qualitative descriptive study and uses metode simak with teknik catat to collect data and metode deskriptif kualitatif to analyze datas. Based on the results, 32 utterances contained gyaru go were found. 9 translation techniques were found, which is literal translation, modulation, borrowing, linguistic compression, reduction, amplification, linguistic amplification, substitution, and variation. Based on the analysis, it can be concluded that the selection of these techniques is varied based on the translator’s understanding not only of Japanese vocabulary, sentences, and grammar, but also adapt to the situation of the relevant speech event and the character of the speaker itself. The characteristics of the translation can be seen in the translator who adapts the translation results using the eight speaking components theory.
