Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan toleransi di Kampung Pulo Geulis RW 04, Kelurahan Babakan Pasar, Kecamatan Bogor Tengah, Kota Bogor. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif dengan subjek penelitian warga Kampung Pulo Geulis yang sudah menetap selama 5 tahun. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan teknik angket, wawancara, observasi, dokumentasi dan studi kepustakaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa toleransi di Kampung Pulo Geulis sudah terjalin sejak zaman Kerajaan Pajajaran dan masih terjalin sampai saat ini melalui kegiatan-kegiatan kemasyarakatan. Kehidupan toleransi di Kampung Pulo Geulis pada penelitian ini digambarkan ke dalam aspek-aspek seperti kedamaian, menghargai perbedaan, kesadaran dan kebebasan beragama. Aspek kedamaian memperoleh persentase terbanyak yaitu sebesar 81,88% sementara aspek menghargai perbedaan memperoleh hasil paling rendah yaitu sebanyak 73,78%. Hal ini tentu tidak lepas dari adanya andil penting para pemuka agama di Kampung Pulo Geulis yang berperan penting dalam menjaga kehidupan toleransi, peran para pemuka agama tersebut digambarkan ke dalam beberapa aspek yaitu menjaga kerukunan, pengabdian, dan dakwah. Peran pemuka agama dalam menjaga kerukunan memperoleh persentase paling banyak yaitu sebesar 81,25%, diikuti oleh peran dalam berdakwah sebesar 79,13% dan yang terakhirnya peran pengabdian sebesar 74,56%. This study aims to describe tolerance in Kampung Pulo Geulis RW 04, Babakan Pasar Village, Central Bogor District, Bogor City. The research method used is descriptive with the research subjects being residents of Kampung Pulo Geulis who have lived for 5 years. Data were collected using questionnaires, interviews, observation, documentation and literature study. The results of the study show that tolerance in Kampung Pulo Geulis has been established since the time of the Kingdom of Pajajaran and is still being maintained today through community activities. The life of tolerance in Kampung Pulo Geulis in this study is described in aspects such as peace, respect for differences, awareness and freedom of religion. The settlement aspect obtained the highest percentage, namely 81.88%, while the aspect of appreciating differences obtained the lowest result, namely 73.78%. This is of course inseparable from the important contribution of religious leaders in Kampung Pulo Geulis who play an important role in maintaining a life of tolerance. The role of these religious leaders is described in several aspects, namely maintaining harmony, devotion, and preaching. The role of religious leaders in maintaining harmony obtained the most proportion, namely 81.25%, followed by the role in preaching at 79.13% and finally the role of service at 74.56%.
