Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh self-stigma of seeking help terhadap sikap mencari bantuan psikologis profesional pada mahasiswa. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif dan responden yang diperoleh sebanyak 229 orang mahasiswa berusia 18-24 tahun di Indonesia. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah Self-stigma of Seeking Help Scale oleh Vogel, Wade, dan Haake (2006) untuk mengukur self-stigma of seeking help dan Attitudes toward Seeking Professional Psychological Help-Short Form oleh Fischer dan Farina (1995) untuk mengukur sikap mencari bantuan psikologis profesional. Penelitian menghasilkan bahwa self-stigma of seeking help berpengaruh sebesar 31,7% terhadap sikap mencari bantuan psikologis profesional pada mahasiswa. This study aims to determine the effect of self-stigma of seeking help towards the attitudes of seeking professional psychological help in undergraduate students. Using quantitative, this study obtained 229 students aged 18-24 years in Indonesia. Instruments used are the Self-stigma of Seeking Help Scale by Vogel, Wade, and Haake (2006) to measure the self-stigma of seeking help and the Attitudes toward Seeking Professional Psychological Help-Short Form by Fischer and Farina (1995) to measure the attitudes of seeking professional psychological help. The results showed that self-stigma of seeking help 31,7% affects the attitude of seeking professional psychological help in undergraduate students.
