Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan analisa terhadap artikel majalah mingguan Tempo yang membahas mengenai perlawanan masyarakat sipil terhadap omnibus law. Data yang digunakan diambil dari 3 buah artikel yang terbit pada 12 dan 19 Oktober 2020. Dalam melakukan analisis, penulis menggunakan kerangka analisa wacana dengan systemic functional linguistic yang berfokus pada transitivity analysis oleh M.A.K Halliday. Hasil dari analisa transitivitas memperlihatkan kecendrungan Tempo dalam menampilkan berbagai macam representasi terhadap masyarakat sipil dalam merespon Omnibus Law. Dari temuan, yang dominan nampak adalah kegiatan fisik yang berkaitan dengan proses perencanaan dan penyusunan omnibus law dan respon dari masyarakat sipil. Terbukti dengan proses material yang banyak ditemukan. Yang kedua, prosess verbal yang ditemukan memperlihatkan sentimen positif dan negatif terhadap keseluruhan proses omnibus law. Sementara itu, proses relational digunakan Tempo untuk menunjukan signifikasi dari proses penyusunan omnibus law. ***** This research is an analysis of the weekly magazine article Tempo which discusses civil society's resistance to the omnibus law. The data used is taken from 3 articles published on 12 and 19 October 2020. In conducting the analysis, the author uses a discourse analysis framework with systemic functional linguistics which focuses on transitivity analysis by M.A.K Halliday. The result of the analysis is to understand the tendency of Tempo publication to representing various aspect of civil society while confronting omnibus law. From the finding, the most dominant depiction is concerning with physical event which related to process of planning and lawmaking and also response from the civil society. Which proven from the most used process is material. Followed by verbal process that presenting positive and negative sentiment for the whole process of omnibus law. Meanwhile, the relational process is used by Tempo to insert signification from the happening within lawmaking process.
