Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbandingan antara penggunaan model pembelajaran Discovery Learning dan Project Based Learning terhadap hasil belajar Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam peserta didik kelas V Sekolah Dasar. Adapun sampel penelitian ini adalah 62 peserta didik kelas V Sekolah Dasar di Kecamatan Beji, Depok. Pengambilan sampel pada penelitian ini menggunakan teknik Cluster Random Sampling. Metode yang digunakan ialah metode Eksprimen dengan desain Posttest Only Control Design. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan instrumen angket yang diuji normalitas dengan uji Liliefors dan homogenitas dengan uji Fisher sebagai uji persyaratan data. Selanjutnya dilakukan analisis hipotesis dengan menggunakan uji-t pada taraf signifikansi α=0,05 dengan hasil thitung lebih besar dari ttabel (-3.61 ≠ 1.67) sehingga H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa adanya perbandingan antara penggunaan model pembelajaran Discovery Learning dan Project Based Learning terhadap hasil belajar IPA peserta didik kelas V SD. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hasil belajar dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Project Based Learning lebih tinggi dari model pembelajaran Discovery Learning. This research was aims to compare of the Discovery Learning and Project Based Learning model on science learning outcomes in fifth grade elementary school student. The sample of this research is 62 fifth grade elementary school students in Beji, Depok. Sampling in this study used Cluster Random Sampling Techniques. The method was used as an Experiment method with the design of Posttest Only Control Design. Data were collected by questionnaire instruments for normality test with Liliefors test and homogeneity with Fisher’s test as data requirements testing. Furthermore, hypothesis analysis is done by using t-test at the significance level α=0,05 with a tcount greater than ttable (-3.61 ≠ 1.67) so that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. Then it can be concluded that there is a comparison between the use of the Discovery Learning and Project Based Learning on the science learning outcomes of fifth grade elementary school students. The results of the study show that learning outcomes using Project Based Learning were higher than Discovery Learning.
