Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan jenis-jenis toleransi yang terdapat dalam novel Monsieur Ibrahim Et Les Fleurs Du Coran dan Oscar Et La Dame Rose karya Eric-Emmanuel Schmitt. Teori utama yang digunakan sebagai acuan adalah lima jenis toleransi menurut teori toleransi yang dikemukakan oleh Novikova (2013 : 625) yang terdiri dari toleransi seksual, toleransi sosial, toleransi rasial, toleransi pikiran dan toleransi beragama. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode analisis deskriptif kualitatif dengan menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data yaitu metode simak yang mengacu pada teori yang dikemukakan oleh Zaim (2014 : 89). setelah data dikumpulkan, data dilakukan analisis dengan menggunakan teknik analisis data menurut Mathew B. Miles dan A. Michel Huberman Miles (dalam Sugiyono 2014: 246) yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, verifikasi dan kesimpulan data. Prosedur pada penelitian ini diawali dengan menentukan fokus penelitian, kemudian pencarian teori-teori yang relevan dengan fokus penelitian. Selanjutnya dilanjutkan dengan membaca sumber data dan mengumpulkan sumber data dari sumber data yang berupa novel berjudul Monsieur Ibrahim Et Les Fleurs Du Coran dan Oscar Et La Dame Rose. Setelah data terkumpul, dilakukan analisis dengan mengacu pada teori yang relevan. Hasil analisis data kemudian dipaparkan dan diakhiri dengan penarikan kesimpulan dari hasil analisis tersebut. Hasil penelitian jenis toleransi menurut teori Novikova yang ditemukan dalam novel Monsieur Ibrahim Et Les Fleurs Du Coran karya Eric-Emmanuel Schitt ini terdapat sembilan belas (19) data dalam bentuk dialog atau kalimat yang mengindikasikan adanya jenis-jenis toleransi. Sedangkan dalam novel Oscar Et La Dame Rose karya Eric-Emmanuel Schmitt ini terdapat dua belas (12) data dalam bentuk dialog atau kalimat yang mengindikasikan adanya jenis-jenis toleransi, dengan total kedua novel berjumlah tiga puluh satu (31) data. Secara rinci, data tersebut didapatkan empat belas (14) jenis toleransi pikiran, dua belas (12) jenis toleransi agama, tiga (3) jenis toleransi sosial, dua (2) jenis toleransi rasial, dan satu (1) jenis toleransi seksual. This study aims to explain the types of tolerance contained in the novels Monsieur Ibrahim Et Les Fleurs Du Coran and Oscar Et La Dame Rose by Eric-Emmanuel Schmitt. The main theory used as a reference is the five types of tolerance according to the theory of tolerance put forward by Novikova (2013: 625) which consists of sexual tolerance, social tolerance, racist tolerance, thought tolerance and religious tolerance. The method used is a qualitative descriptive analysis method using data collection techniques, namely the listening method which refers to the theory put forward by Zaim (2014: 89). after the data is collected, the data is analyzed using data analysis techniques according to Mathew B. Miles and A. Michel Huberman Miles (in Sugiyono 2014: 246) namely data reduction, data presentation, data verification and conclusion. The procedure in this study begins with determining the research focus, then searching for theories that are relevant to the research focus. Then proceed with reading data sources and collecting data sources from data sources in the form of a novel entitled Monsieur Ibrahim Et Les Fleurs Du Coran and Oscar Et La Dame Rose. After the data is collected, an analysis is carried out with reference to the relevant theory. The results of data analysis are then presented and ends with drawing conclusions from the results of the analysis. The results of the research on the types of tolerance according to Novikova's theory found in the novel Monsieur Ibrahim Et Les Fleurs Du Coran by Eric-Emmanuel Schitt contain nineteen (19) data in the form of dialogues or sentences which indicate the types of tolerance. Meanwhile, in Eric-Emmanuel Schmitt's novel Oscar Et La Dame Rose, there are twelve (12) data in the form of dialogues or sentences indicating the existence of different types of tolerance, with a total of thirty-one (31) data for the two novels. In detail, the data obtained fourteen (14) types of thought tolerance, twelve (12) types of religious tolerance, three (3) types of social tolerance, two (2) types of racist tolerance, and one (1) type of sexual tolerance.
