Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kandungan maker charcoal terhadap pengurangan jerawat pada perawatan kulit wajah dengan masker teatree (melaleuca) sebagai kontrol. Untuk mencapai tujuan penelitian ini digunakan metode quasi eksperimen. Populasi pada penelitian ini yakni seluruh mahasiswa yang memiliki jenis kulit berminyak dan berjerawat pada wajah. Banyak sampel yang diambil yaitu 12 orang sampel. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling yaitu peneliti mempunyai pertimbangan tertentu didalam pengambilan sampel untuk tujuan tertentu. Sampel tersebut dibagi menjadi 2 kelompok , kelompok A dengan masker charcoal dan kelompok B dengan masker teatree (kontrol). Perawatan dilakukan sebanyak 8 kali dengan penilaian pengurangan jerawat menggunakan lembar instrumen penelitian dibantu magnifying lamp untuk mendiagnosis keadaan kulit sampel. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan menunjukan hasil nilai rata-rata pengurangan jerawat dengan menggunakan masker charcoal (x=2,625) lebih besar dari nilai rata-rata pengurangan jerawat menggunakan masker teatree (x=2,275). Diperoleh hasil analaisa data yaitu t_hitung sebesar 2,689 yang jika dibandingkan dengan t_tabel pada derajat kepercayaan  = 0,05 dan dk = 10 sebesar 1,81 akan menjadi t_hitung ˃ t_tabel dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh dari perawatan kulit wajah berjerawat yang menggunakan masker charcoal. This study aims to determine the effect of the charcoal maker content on acne reduction in facial skin care with a teatree (melaleuca) mask as a control. To achieve the objectives of this study a quasi-experimental method was used. The population in this study were all students who have oily skin types and facial acne. Many samples taken were 12 samples. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling in which the researcher has certain considerations in taking samples for specific purposes. The sample was divided into 2 groups, group A with charcoal masks and group B with teatree (control) masks. The treatment was carried out 8 times by assessing the reduction of zits using a magnified lamp research instrument sheet to diagnose the skin condition of the sample. Based on the calculation results show the average value of acne reduction using charcoal masks (x = 2.625) is greater than the average value of acne reduction using teatree masks (x = 2.275). Obtained data analysis results are t_count of 2.689 which when compared with t_tabel at a degree of confidence  = 0.05 and dk = 10 of 1.81 will be t_count ˃ t_tabel thus it can be concluded that there is an effect of acne prone skin care using charcoal masks .
