Abstract

Salsa Abdiliah, Partisipasi Masyarakat Dalam Kegiatan Jimpitan (Studi Kasus: Masyarakat Kampung Jimpitan Kompak Berbagi Berkah (KB2) Kecamatan Batuceper Kota Tangerang), Skripsi, Jakarta: Program Studi Sosiologi, Fakultas Ilmu Sosial, Universitas Negeri Jakarta, 2023. Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk menguraikan pelaksanaan kegiatan Jimpitan pada masyarakat Kampung Jimpitan KB2. Selain itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui partisipasi masyarakat Kampung Jimpitan KB2 pada kegiatan Jimpitan mulai dari pelaksanaan sampai pada pemanfaataan hasil dalam pendekatan budaya yang menghasilkan kemandirian dalam membangun sebuah kampung. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan kualitatif studi kasus. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Kampung Jimpitan KB2 yang berlokasi di Jalan H. Resan 2 No. 114, RT 03 RW 003, Kelurahan Batujaya, Kecamatan Batuceper, Kota Tangerang, Provinsi Banten. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada bulan Oktober 2022 hingga bulan Januari 2023. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari 6 orang informan yang terdiri dari 3 orang pengurus RT, 2 orang petugas Jimpitan, dan 1 orang warga Kampung Jimpitan KB2. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara mendalam pada informan, observasi di lokasi penelitian, dan dokumentasi yang diperoleh baik dari informan maupun dokumentasi secara langsung. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa adanya peran aktif masyarakat pada pelaksanaan Jimpitan di Kampung Jimpitan KB2. Masyarakat terlibat aktif mulai dari proses perencanaan, pelaksanaan, sampai pemanfaatan hasil. Jimpitan merupakan sebuah tradisi sehingga dalam memahami partisipasi masyarakat pada kegiatan Jimpitan dapat dilakukan menggunakan pendekatan budaya. Makna yang diintepretasikan masyarakat dari kegiatan Jimpitan adalah untuk membangun kampung, kemudian makna tersebut berkembang ke dalam tiga aspek yaitu sebagai bentuk ibadah, semangat nasionalisme, dan kolektifitas suku. Selain itu terdapat simbol yang dimaknai oleh masyarakat terhadap kegiatan Jimpitan sebagai sistem sedekah sosial. Kegiatan Jimpitan menunjukkan hasil progresif terhadap kemandirian Kampung Jimpitan KB2 secara bertahap, hal ini diperlihatkan dengan adanya perkembangan kampung yang semakin maju. Hal ini tidak lepas dari peran aktif masyarakat dalam pelaksanaan Jimpitan. This study aims to describe the implementation of Jimpitan activities in the Jimpitan KB2 Village community. In addition, this study aims to determine the participation of the people of Kampung Jimpitan KB2 in Jimpitan activities, starting from the implementation to the utilization of the results in a cultural context which results in independence in building a village. This research uses a qualitative research method with a qualitative case study approach. This research was conducted in Jimpitan KB2 Village, which is located at Jalan H. Resan 2 No. 114, RT 03 RW 003, Batujaya Village, Batuceper District, Tangerang City, Banten Province. This research was conducted from October 2022 to January 2023. The research subjects consisted of 6 informants consisting of 3 RT administrators, 2 Jimpitan officers, and 1 resident of Kampung Jimpitan KB2. Data collection was carried out by in-depth interviews with informants, observations at research locations, and documentation obtained from both informants and documentation directly. The results of this study indicate that there is an active role of the community in the implementation of Jimpitan in Kampung Jimpitan KB2. The community is actively involved from the process of planning, implementation, to the utilization of the results. Jimpitan is a tradition so that understanding community participation in Jimpitan activities can be done using a cultural approach. The meaning interpreted by the community from the Jimpitan activities was to build a village, then this meaning developed into three aspects, namely as a form of worship, a spirit of nationalism, and ethnic collectivity. In addition, there is a symbol that is interpreted by the community for Jimpitan's activities as a social charity system. The Jimpitan activity shows progressive results towards the gradual independence of Jimpitan KB2 Village, this is shown by the increasingly advanced development of the village. This cannot be separated from the active role of the community in the implementation of Jimpitan. Keywords: Society Participation, Jimpitan, Kampung Jimpitan KB2
