Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui keefektifan media poster bank sampah dan komposting dalam meningkatkan pemahaman siswa. Lokasi penelitian di SMA Negeri 42 Jakarta. Populasi penelitian seluruh siswa dengan penarikan Sampel penelitian 90 siswa. Waktu yang digunakan untuk mengambil data 10 hari. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik probability sampling. Metode yang gunakan adalah penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif. Penelitian ini menggunakan pretest dan posttest. Teknik analisa data yang disajikan adalah mean dan N-Gain Score untuk mengetahui peningkatan pemahaman siswa dalam pengelolaan sampah, dan melihat keefektifan media poster yang digunakan. Dari hasil perhitungan rata rata nilai pretest dan posttest, dapat disimpulkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan pemahaman pada bank sampah dan komposting dengan menggunakan media poster. Nilai rata rata pretest adalah 61,2 dan nilai rata rata posttest 88,9. Selisih nilai pretest dan posttest adalah 27,7 poin. Dari hasil pretest dan posttest siswa dapat terlihat peningkatan pemahaman siswa mengenai mekanisme komposting melalui media poster paling tinggi yaitu meningkat sebesar 74%. Dari tabel hasil uji N-Gain dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa media poster bank sampah dan komposting dengan kategori tafsiran yaitu cukup efektif dengan nilai rata rata yang diperoleh sebesar 71,04% dimana nilai tersebut masuk dalam kategori cukup efektif dengan presentase 56% - 75%. ******** This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the Garbage and Composting Bank Poster media in increasing students' understanding. The research location is at SMA Negeri 42 Jakarta. The research population is all students with a research sample of 90 students. The time used to retrieve data is 10 days. The sampling technique uses probability sampling technique. The method used is quantitative descriptive research. This research uses pretest and posttest. The data analysis technique presented is the mean and the N-Gain Score to determine the increase in students' understanding of waste management, and to see the effectiveness of the poster media used. From the results of calculating the average pretest and posttest values, it can be concluded that there is an increase in understanding of waste banks and composting using poster media. The average pretest score was 61.2 and the posttest average score was 88.9. The difference between the pretest and posttest scores is 27.7 points. From the results of the students' pretest and posttest, it can be seen that the increase in students' understanding of the composting mechanism through poster media is the highest, namely an increase of 74%. From the table of N-Gain test results, it can be concluded that the waste bank and composting poster media in the interpretation category is quite effective with an average value obtained of 71.04% where this value is included in the quite effective category with a percentage of 56% - 75%.
