Abstract

ABSTRAK Selama ini film animasi yang ditonton anak-anak sebagian besar mengandung unsur hiburan saja tidak begitu banyak mengedukasi. Oleh karena itu dilakukan penelitian pengembangan media film animasi dua dimensi pengenalan aspek sosial dan kepribadian untuk meningkatkan pemahaman remaja terhadap aspek sosial dan kepribadian. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah R & D (Research and Development). Model pengembangan yang digunakan adalah model pengembangan Multimedia Development Life Cycle (MDLC). Pengujian dilakukan dengan dua tahap yaitu uji alpha dan uji beta. Uji alpha dilakukan oleh ahli materi dan ahli media dengan menyebarkan kuesioner untuk mengetahui kelayakan media film animasi yang dibuat. Uji beta dilakukan oleh responden yaitu siswa SMP ISLAM TERPADU HALIMIYAH untuk mengetahui respons terhadap film dengan menggunakan skala sikap dan dilakukan juga uji efektivitas dengan tes formatif. Film animasi dikategorikan layak dengan penilaian ahli materi dan media mendapatkan hasil 100%. Uji kelayakan responden dari aspek kualitas tampilan serta minat dan perhatian siswa sebesar 70,1% dikategorikan film tersebut baik. Uji efektivitas dengan tes formatif mendapat nilai 89,1% dikategorikan pemahaman siswa terhadap isi film sangat baik. Jadi pengembangan media film animasi sangat efektif meningkatkan pemahaman remaja tentang aspek sosial dan kepribadian. Namun responden kurang tertarik dengan penggambaran karakter dan pemilihan warna yang mendapat nilai 67% walaupun masih dalam kategori baik. Kata Kunci: Film Animasi, Media, Aspek Sosial, Aspek Kepribadian ABSTRACT Before this, the animated films watched by children mostly contained entertainment elements and just little bit education. Therefore, research was conducted in the form of developing two-dimentional animated film media on the introduction of social and personality aspects to improve adolescent’s understanding of social and personality aspects. The research method used was R&D ( Research and Development). The development method used was the Multimedia Development Life Cycle (MDLC) development model. Steps in MDLC development model consisted of : (1) conceptualisation, (2) design, (3) material collecting, (4) assembly, (5) testing, (6) distribution. Testing was done by using a two stages of testing, named the alpha testing and beta testing. Alpha teswas conducted by material experts and media experts by distributing questionnaires to determine the decency of animated film created. The beta teswas conducted by respondents, the students of AL - HALIMIYAH INTEGRATED JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL to find out the responsse to the film. The questionnaires used an attitude scale and also the effectiveness teswas conducted using the formative tests. The animated film was categorized as suitable for use by material expert and media expert, and the judgment showed 100% score. The decency tesof respondents from the aspect of visual quality and student’s interests and attention showed 70.1% score and it categorized that the film was good. As for the result of the effectiveness tesused formative tests showed 89.1% and it categorized student’s understanding of film contents was very good. So the development of animated film media had a very good level of effectiveness in increasing adolescent’s understanding of social and personality aspects. But respondents were less interested in character depictions and the color selection of the characters that got 67% score even though still in good category.
