Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui sejarah dari diaspora orang Bugis ke Kamal Muara, Jakarta Utara pada tahun 1960-1980. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode historis dengan pendekatan deskriptif-naratif. Metode penelitian sejarah digunakan untuk menjawab rumusan masalah tersebut. langkah-langkah yang dilakukan dalam penelitian sejarah yaitu (1) pemilihan topik; (2) pengumpulan sumber; (3) kritik sumber; (4) interpretasi; dan (5) penulisan. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menghimpun sumber-sumber sejarah yang berkaitan dengan permasalahan yang dikaji seperti buku dan artikel yang relevan dengan topik yang dibahas, selain itu penulis juga melakukan wawancara dengan tokoh-tokoh masyarakat setempat. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa orang-orang Bugis telah diaspora ke Jakarta sejak abad ke-17. Namun orang-orang Bugis baru melakukan diaspora ke Kamal Muara dilakukan pada tahun 1960. Orang pertama yang menjadi pioner dalam diaspora ini adalah H. Latif. Diaspora yang dilakukan oleh orang-orang Bugis ini disebabkan oleh berbagai macam faktor diantaranya faktor politik, faktor ekonomi, dan faktor kebudayaan. Orang Bugis memiliki kemampuan adaptasi yang cepat di tanah rantau. Orang Bugis ketika melakukan diaspora akan tetap mempertahankan identitasnya sebagai orang Bugis di tanah rantau. Kata Kunci: Diaspora, Bugis, Jakarta, Kamal Muara The purpose of this research is to find out the history of the Bugis diaspora to Kamal Muara, North Jakarta in 1960-1980. This study uses historical methods with a descriptive-narrative approach. Historical research methods are used to answer the formulation of the problem. the steps taken in historical research are (1) topic selection; (2) collection of sources; (3) source criticism; (4) interpretation; and (5) writing. Data collection was carried out by collecting historical sources related to the issues studied, such as books and articles that were relevant to the topics discussed. In addition, the authors also conducted interviews with local community leaders. The results of this study indicate that the Bugis people have been diaspora to Jakarta since the 17th century. However, the new Bugis diaspora to Kamal Muara was carried out in 1960. The first person who became a pioneer in this diaspora was H. Latif. The diaspora carried out by the Bugis people is caused by various factors including political factors, economic factors, and cultural factors. The Bugis people have the ability to adapt quickly in overseas lands. When the Bugis do diaspora, they will maintain their identity as Bugis people in overseas lands.
