Abstract

ABSTRAK Iswatun Hasanah, Potret Marginalisasi Masyarakat Pinggiran (Studi Kasus: Masayarakat Kampung Pintu Air RT 005 RW 03 Kelurahan Harapan Mulya, Kecamatan Medan Satria, Kota Bekasi). Skirpsi, Jakarta: Program Studi Pendidikan Sosiologi, Fakultas Ilmu Sosial, Universitas Negeri Jakarta, 2023. Penelitian ini memiliki tiga tujuan, pertama untuk mendeskripsikan latar belakang masyarakat Kampung Pintu Air. Kedua untuk menguraikan dampak marginalisasi Kampung Pintu Air ditengah perubahan. Ketiga untuk memaparkan bagaimana proses marginalisasi masyarakat Kampung Pintu Air. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif dan studi kasus. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui observasi, dokumentasi, studi kepustakaan dan wawancara dengan subjek penelitian satu orang rukun tetangga, satu orang tokoh masyarakat, satu orang ketua karangtaruna dan 2 orang masyarakat asli Kampung Pintu Air. Lokasi penelitian dilakukan di Bekasi pada bulan Febuari 2021 dan Januari 2023. Penelitian ini Menggunakan Konsep marginalisasi, pemukiman dan masyarakat pinggiran. Hasil Penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa terbentuknya marginalisasi di Kampung Pintu Air dilatar belakangi oleh letak geografis pemukiman yang berada di pusat perkembangan kota, kondisi lingkungan yang kurang mendapatkan kebutuhan dasar hidup seperti akses air bersih dan permasalahan sampah, kondisi ekonomi masyarakat Kampung Pintu Air yang didominasi oleh maraknya pengamen dan kondisi sosial di mana Kampung Pintu Air banyak terdapat anak jalanan. This research has three objectives, the first is to describe the background of the Kampung Pintu Air community. The second is to describe the impact on the marginalization of Kampung Pintu Ari in the midst of change. The third is to explain how the process of marginalization of the Kampung Pintu Air comummunity. This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods and case studies. The research data were obtained through observation, documentation, literature study and interviews with the research subjects being one neighborhood member, one community leader, one Karangtaruna head and 2 native people of Pintu Air Village. The research location was conducted in Bekasi in February 2021 and January 2023. This research uses the concept of marginalization, settlements and marginalized communities. The research of this study indicate that the formation of marginalization in Kampung Pintu Air is motivated by the geographical location of settlements which are at the center of urban development, environmental conditions that lack basic necessities of life such as access to clean water and waste problems, the economic conditions of the Kampung Pintu Air community which are demonated by the prevalence of buskers and social conditions where there are many street children in Kampung Pintu Air.
