Abstract
Bank Sampah merupakan salah satu pengelolaan sampah yang dapat menjadi alternatif dalam mengelola sampah. Bank sampah adalah tempat menabung sampah yang sudah dipilah berdasarkan jenisnya dan masih mempunyai nilai ekonomis. Bank sampah bertujuan untuk mengurangi jumlah sampah yang disetorkan ke TPA. Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Menggunakan instrumen kuesioner sebagai media dalam memperoleh data-data penelitian. Instrumen disebarkan ke nasabah Bank Sampah Malaka Sari Kecamatan Duren Sawit Jakarta Timur. Hasil penyebaran kuesioner penelitian mendapatkan persentase 76,55% pada pengelolaan sampah, 79,72% pada mekanisme Bank Sampah dan 77,71% Pada pelaksanaan Bank Sampah. Namun masih ada masyarakat yang tidak puas dengan ketiga aspek pengelolaan sampah, mekanisme bank sampah dan pelaksanaan bank sampah. Hal tersebut dikarenakan terdapat alat pengolah sampah yang tidak dioperasikan karena tiga kendala yaitu kendala lahan, tenaga kerja dan modal. Sehingga kendala tersebut mempengaruhi ketiga aspek pengelolaan sampah, mekanisme bank sampah dan pelaksanaan bank sampah. Kata kunci : Bank sampah, pengelolaan sampah, Bank Sampah Malaka Sari Waste Bank is one of the waste managements that could be an alternative to manage waste. Waste Bank is a place to save away the waste that has been sorted based on the types of garbages and still has economic value. The purpose of waste bank is to reduce the amount of waste which will be deposited to the landfill. This research was using descriptive method with quantitative approach and was using questionnaire as a media to get the research data. The questionnaire was distributed to the Malaka Sari Waste Bank’s customers, Duren Sawit Sub District, East Jakarta. The results of the distribution of the research questionnaire obtained a percentage of 76.55% in waste management, 79.72% in the mechanism of the Trash Bank and 77.71% in the implementation of the Trash Bank. But there are still people who are dissatisfied with the three aspects of waste management, the mechanism of the garbage bank and the implementation of the garbage bank. That is because there are waste processing equipment that are not operated because of three constraints namely land, labor and capital constraints. So that these constraints affect all three aspects of waste management, the mechanism of the waste bank and the implementation of the waste bank.
