Abstract

Panti Sosial Bina Remaja Taruna Jaya 1 merupakan lembaga yang menangani permasalahan remaja jalanan, remaja terlantar dan remaja putus sekolah. PSBR Taruna Jaya 1 memberikan fasilitas dengan memberikan keterampilan pada remaja. Pola asah PSBR Taruna Jaya 1 sangat menekankan pada aturan. Warga binaan sosial (WBS) memiliki karakteristik yang berbeda membuat pengasuh harus lebih ekstra dalam pengasuhannya, khususnya pada Warga binaan sosial laki-laki dengan karakteristik lebih sulit diatur daripada Warga binaan sosial perempuan. Penelitian kualitatif ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui jenis pola asuh yang diterapkan pengasuh dalam membangun penyesuaian diri warga binaan sosial yang di tinjau dari jenis kelamin laki-laki dan untuk mengetahui bagaimana penyesuaian diri warga binaan sosial di Panti Sosial Bina Remaja Taruna Jaya 1. Subjek penelitian ini yaitu pengasuh laki-laki dan Warga Binaan Sosial laki-laki. Teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan menggunakan observasi, wawancara, kuisioner dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan Pola asuh yang dilakukan pengasuh dalam membangun penyesuaian diri di PSBR Taruna Jaya 1 adalah pola asuh Demokratis dan otoriter. Dalam membangun penyesuaian diri pengasuh juga selalu memberikan motivasi, saran, masukan dan arahan kepada Warga binaan sosial. Selain itu sikap pengasuh yang suka memberikan hukuman kepada Warga binaan sosial adalah salah satu cara yang dilakukan pengasuh untuk memberikan kebiasan baik kepada Warga binaan sosial. Penyesuaian diri warga binaan sosial laki-laki cenderung cukup baik, hal ini di sebabkan karena warga binaan sosial laki-laki masih memiliki sikap dan komunikasi yang baik antar Warga binaan sosial dan Warga binaan sosial kepada pengasuh atau sebaliknya. ***** The Taruna Jaya 1 Youth Bina Social Institution is an institution that deals with the problems of street youth, neglected youth and school dropouts. PSBR Taruna Jaya 1 provides facilities by imparting skills to youth. Taruna Jaya 1's PSBR pattern emphasizes rules. Socially assisted residents (WBS) have different characteristics that make caregivers have to be more extra in their care, especially for male socially assisted residents with characteristics that are more difficult to manage than female socially assisted residents. This qualitative research aims to find out the type of parenting style applied by caregivers in building the social adjustment of the socially assisted members in terms of male sex and to find out how the socially assisted residents adjust themselves at the Taruna Jaya 1 Youth Development Institution. The subject of this research is male caregivers and male Social Assisted Residents. Data collection techniques carried out using observation, interviews, questionnaires and documentation. The results of this study indicate that the parenting style adopted by caregivers in developing self-adjustment at PSBR Taruna Jaya 1 is democratic and authoritarian parenting. In building selfadjustment, caregivers also always provide motivation, advice, input and direction to socially assisted residents. In addition, the attitude of caregivers who like to give punishment to socially assisted citizens is one of the ways caregivers do to provide good habits to socially assisted residents. The self-adjustment of male socially assisted residents tends to be quite good, this is because male socially assisted residents still have good attitudes and communication between socially assisted residents and socially assisted residents to caregivers or vice versa.
