Abstract
***** Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) analysis using the Fuzzy approach can be helpful in situations where there is uncertainty in several parameters involved in EOQ calculations, one of which is the octagonal fuzzy number. The signed distance method can be used to determine the extent to which an inventory value belongs to a particular fuzzy set. Considering the expiration factor is essential because, in the real world, some items may have a specic shelf life or usage period. The case study results at PT. XYZ, showed that the economically optimal procurement of raw materials is achieved at a minimum total inventory cost of Rp 88.958.766,29. This cost is obtained when ordering is done twenty four times within a year, with an optimal cycle length of 16 days. The ordering quantity is 342 kg, and there are 252 kg of raw materials that are going to expire within a year.
