Abstract

S. samarangense ‘Madu Deli Hijau’ merupakan salah satu tanaman varietas unggul nasional yang memiliki prospek cerah. Syzygium samarangense ‘Madu Deli Hijau’ membutuhkan penanganan yang tepat dalam perbanyakannya, salah satunya secara vegetatif melalui stek. Pemilihan media tanam dan ukuran diameter batang diduga memengaruhi pertumbuhan bibit stek. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui respons pertumbuhan awal stek S. samarangense ‘Madu Deli Hijau’ terhadap pemberian zat perangsang akar yang berbeda (ekstrak bawang merah, IBA, Rootone-F) dengan sebelumnya dilakukan seleksi media tanam dan pemilihan ukuran diameter batang. Metode yang digunakan adalah eksperimental, analisis dengan ANOVA, diuji lanjut dengan DMRT 5%. Interaksi ukuran diameter batang dan jenis media tanam memberikan pengaruh nyata terhadap parameter jumlah akar lateral (1,24 ± 0,26 pada D1M3), panjang akar (1,84 ± 0,48 cm pada D1M3), dan jumlah mata tunas (6, 16 ± 0,51 pada D2M3). Larutan Rootone-F sebagai zat perangsang akar sintetis memberikan pengaruh nyata terhadap parameter jumlah daun (4,70 ± 1,66 helai pada A3P1) dan jumlah mata tunas (3,85 ± 1,53 cm pada A3P1). ****** S. samarangense ‘Green Deli Honey’ is one of the national superior plant varieties that has bright prospects. S. samarangense ‘Green Deli Honey’ requires proper handling in its propagation, one of which is vegetatively through cuttings. The choice of planting medium and the size of the stem diameter are thought to influence the growth of cuttings seedlings. This study aims to determine the initial growth response of deli-green guava cuttings to different root-stimulating agents (shallot extract, IBA, Rootone-F) by selecting the planting medium and stem diameter beforehand. The method used is experimental, analysis with ANOVA, further tested with DMRT 5%. Interaction between the size of the stem diameter and the type of planting medium had significant effect on the parameters of the number of lateral roots (1.24 ± 0.26 in D1M3), root length (1.84 ± 0.48 cm in D1M3), and the number of buds (6.16 ± 0.51 on D2M3). Rootone-F solution as a synthetic root stimulant had significant effect on the parameters of the number of leaves (4.70 ± 1.66 leaves in A3P1) and the number of buds (3.85 ± 1.53 cm in A3P1).
