Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keterampilan problem solving siswa pada materi asam basa dengam model pembelajaran Dilemma-STEAM. Penelitian dilaksanakan di SMAN 65 Jakarta pada semester genap tahun ajaran 2022/2023 dengan partisipan penelitian kelas XI IPA 3 sebanyak 36 siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan teknik analisis data yakni reduksi data, penyajian data, dan kesimpulan. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah wawancara, reflektif jurnal, observasi, dan tes analisis keterampilan problem solving siswa. Tujuan pada penelitian ini adalah pengembangan keterampilan problem solving siswa yang didukung dengan dilemma stories (dilemma stories) tentang penggunaan pupuk dan proyek pembuatan pupuk organik cair. Pembelajaran kimia di kelas dilakukan dengan model pembelajaran Dilemma- STEAM dengan tahapan refleksi, eksplorasi, elaborasi, integrasi, dan transformasi. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah pembelajaran asam basa menggunakan model pembelajaran Dilemma-STEAM menunjukkan adanya perkembangan keterampilan problem solving siswa. Secara keseluruhan terdapat 51,43% siswa yang mencapai keterampilan problem solving dengan level sangat baik; 48,57% mencapai level baik. Indikator problem solving yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu mengidentifikasi dan menemukan masalah (Identifying and defining problem), membuat solusi desain (creating design solution), dan memberikan penalaran (giving reasoning). Perkembangan keterampilan problem solving siswa pada aspek mengidentifkasi masalah dan membuat solusi desain sudah mulai terlihat. Siswa mampu memberikan solusi kreatif dan inovatif terkait permasalahan yang ada ada di dalam dilemma stories sehingga siswa dapat merasakan pembelajaran kimia yang lebih relevan dengan kehidupan sehari-hari. Pembelajaran dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran Dilemma-STEAM memberikan kesempatan pada siswa untuk mengembangkan keterampilan problem solving melalui refleksi nilai-nilai yang ada dalam dilemma stories, pemecahan masalah, dan pembuatan proyek. Kata Kunci: Pembelajaran kimia, Asam Basa, Model Pembelajaran, Dilemma STEAM, Keterampilan Problem Solving This study investigates the development of students' problem-solving skills in acid- base material using the Dilemma-STEAM learning model. The research was conducted at SMAN 65 Jakarta in the even semester of the 2022–2023 school year, with 36 students participating in class XI IPA 3 research. The resarcher used qualitative methods. The researcher collected data through structured interviews, reflective journals, observations, and problem-solving test. Purpose of this research is the development of students' problem-solving skills, which are supported by dilemma stories about the use of fertilizers and projects for making liquid organic fertilizer. Chemistry learning in class is carried out using the Dilemma-STEAM learning model with the stages of reflection, exploration, elaboration, integration, and transformation. The results of this study indicate acid-base learning using the Dilemma-STEAM learning model, indicating the development of students' problem-solving skills. Overall, 51.43% of students achieved problem-solving skills at a very good level, and 48.57% reached a good level. The problem-solving indicators used in this study are identifying and defining problems, creating design solutions, and giving reasoning. The development of students' problem-solving skills in the aspects of identifying problems and creating design solutions has begun to be seen. Students are able to provide creative and innovative solutions related to the problems in dilemma stories so that they can experience chemistry learning that is more relevant to everyday life. Learning by applying the Dilemma-STEAM learning model provides opportunities for students to develop problem-solving skills through reflecting on the values that exist in dilemma stories, problem solving, and project creation.
