Abstract

Materi sistem koordinasi dianggap materi biologi paling sulit oleh peserta didik SMA di Jakarta. Peserta didik tidak ada keterlibatan secara aktif dalam menganalisis materi sistem koordinasi secara maksimal yang berdampak pada kurangnya penguasaan konsep. Apabila penguasaan konsepnya kurang, maka tujuan pembelajaran pada ranah kognitif belum tercapai. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengukur penguasaan konsep sistem koordinasi peserta didik dan menganalisis pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah terhadap penguasaan konsep peserta didik pada materi sistem koordinasi. Penelitian ini adalah Quasy Experimental. Instrumen yang digunakan meliputi tes, observasi keterlaksanaan pembelajaran, serta angket respon peserta didik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran berbasis masalah terhadap penguasaan konsep sistem koordinasi dapat diterima. Penerapan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah dapat dijadikan inovasi dan alternatif model pembelajaran bagi guru untuk meningkatkan penguasaan konsep peserta didik, khususnya dalam pembelajaran biologi pada materi sistem koordinasi.***** Coordination system is considered the most difficult science of biology by high school students in Jakarta. Students are not actively involved in analyzing the coordination system to the fullest which has an impact on a lack of mastery of concepts. If the mastery of the concept is lacking, the learning objectives on the cognitive domain have not been achieved. This study aims to measure student's mastery of the concept of the coordination system and analyze the effect of applying the problem based learning model on student's mastery of the concept of the coordination system. This research is Quasy Experimental. The instruments used include test, observation the implementation of learning, and student response questionnaires. The results showed that there was a influence of the problem based learning model on coordination system concept mastering which was acceptable. The application of a problem based learning model can be used as an innovation and an alternative learning model for teachers to improve student's mastery of concepts, especially in biology learning on coordination system.
