Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara Prestasi Belajar IPS dengan Kecerdasan Sosial Siswa. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada siswa kelas VIII di SMP Karya Putra Bangsa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif korelasional. Pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan angket dan data prestasi berupa nilai ulangan harian siswa semester ganjil. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII SMP Karya Putra Bangsa. Sampel penelitian ini berjumlah 41 orang yang diambil menggunakan teknik simple random sampling. Berdasarkan analisis data dan perhitungan, diperoleh pengujian hipotesis pada analisis data didapat Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima, yakni dengan rhitung sebesar 0,508 berada pada interval 0,40-0,599 sehingga menunjukan hubungan prestasi belajar IPS dengan kecerdasan sosial siswa adalah korelasi atau hubungan yang sedang. Lalu dilakukan perhitungan koefisien determinasi dan diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa hubungan prestasi belajar IPS memberikan kontribusi sebesar 25,8% dengan kecerdasan sosial siswa dan 74,2% dipengaruhi oleh faktor lainnya. This study aims to determine the relationship between Social Studies Learning Achievement and Student Social Intelligence. This research was conducted on eighth grade students at Karya Putra Bangsa Junior High School. The research method used is the quantitative correlational method. Data collection in this study used a questionnaire and achievement data in the form of daily test scores of odd semester students. The population in this study were eighth grade students of Karya Putra Bangsa Junior High School. The sample of this study was 41 people taken using simple random sampling technique. Based on the analysis of data and calculations, the hypothesis testing obtained in the analysis of the data obtained Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, ie with a calculation of 0.508 at an interval of 0.40-0.599 so that it shows the relationship between social studies learning achievement and social intelligence of students is a correlation or a moderate relationship. Then the calculation of the coefficient of determination is performed and the conclusion is that the relationship between social studies learning achievements contributes 25.8% to the social intelligence of students and 74.2% is influenced by other factors.
