Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis perspektif dan sikap penggemar Ateez yang klaimnya dibantah dan menjadi sasaran ujaran kebencian dari penggemar K-Pop lainnya, khususnya penggemar NMIXX dalam kasus plagiarisme. 179 komentar penggemar Ateez disaring dengan menggunakan Stratified Purposeful Sampling dan dianalisa dengan dua jenis tahapan penelitian, yaitu analisa teks dan analisa teks visual berupa emoji, gambar dan GIF. Pada tahapan analisa teks, teori Appraisal oleh J. R. Martin dan P. R. R. White digunakan untuk mengevaluasi emosi dan perasaan penggemar Ateez dalam menanggapi komentar. Diikuti dengan teori Decoding oleh Stuart Hall untuk menganalisis persepsi penggemar Ateez terhadap bantahan dan ujaran kebencian yang diberikan. Tahapan berikutnya, dalam analisis teks visual digunakan teori semiotika sosial oleh Gunther Kress dan Theo van Leeuwen menganalisis makna dari emoji, gambar, dan GIF yang digunakan Ateez stan dalam tanggapan mereka. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa ketika menanggapi bantahan dan berbagai ujaran kebencian, penggemar Ateez cenderung mengungkapkan ketidaksenangan mereka terhadap JYPE, NMIXX, dan penggemar NMIXX, baik melalui pilihan gramatikal maupun penggunaan emoji dan GIF. Banyak gambar juga digunakan oleh penggemar Ateez untuk menunjukan bukti dan memperkuat argumen mereka. ***** This study aims to analyze the perspective and attitude of Ateez stan whose claims are refuted and subjected to hate speech from other K-Pop fans, particularly NMIXX stan in a plagiarism case. 179 responses filtered using Stratified Purposeful Sampling. There are two stages in this study, namely textual analysis and visual text analysis in the form of emojis, images and GIFs. For the textual analysis, Appraisal theory by J. R. Martin and P. R. R. White was used to evaluate the emotions and feelings of Ateez stans in response to comments. This was followed by Decoding theory by Stuart Hall to analyze Ateez fans' perceptions of refutation and hate speech. The next stage, in visual text analysis, was used the theory of social semiotics by Gunther Kress and Theo van Leeuwen to analyze the meaning of each emojis, images, and GIFs that Ateez stan used in their responses. The results showed that when responding to refutation and various type of hate speech, Ateez stan tended to express their displeasure with JYPE, NMIXX, and NMIXX stan, both through grammatical choice as well as the use of emojis and GIFs. Many images were also used by Ateez stan to show evidence and strengthen their arguments.
