Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh fear of missing out terhadap impulsive buying pengguna e-commerce. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling dengan jumlah responden sebanyak 208 orang. Alat ukur yang digunakan adalah Impulsive Buying Scale (Rook & Fisher, 1995) untuk mengukur variabel impulsive buying dan Tendency Towards The Fear of Missing Out Scale (Lim, 2016) untuk mengukur variabel fear of missing out. Pengujian hipotesis dilakukan menggunakan analisis regresi sederhana. Hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa terdapat pengaruh positif fear of missing out terhadap impulsive buying secara signifikan dengan kontribusi pengaruh sebesar 70,1%. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa pengguna e-commerce yang mengalami fear of missing out akan melakukan impulsive buying. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of fear of missing out on impulsive buying on e-commerce user. Purposive sampling method was used on this study with 208 respondents as the result. Measurement tools used were the Impulsive Buying Scale (Rook & Fisher, 1995) to measure the impulsive buying variable and Tendency Towards The Fear of Missing Out Scale (Lim, 2016) to measure the fear of missing out variable. Hypothesis was tested using simple regression analysis. Study finds that fear of missing out has positive and significant influence on impulsive buying on e-commerce user by 70,1%. This finding shows that e-commerce users with fear of missing out most likely will do impulse buying.
