Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui gambaran kesiapsiagaan psikologis dalam menghadapi bencana alam pada individu dewasa awal. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif deskriptif dengan metode survei berupa kuesioner. Kuesioner berisi alat ukur, yaitu Skala Kesiapsiagaan Psikologis yang merupakan skala hasil modifikasi Fa’uni dan Diana (2021) dari Psychological Preparedness for Disaster Threat Scale (PPDTS) yang dikembangkan oleh Zulch (2012). Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah 186 orang dewasa awal berusia 18-40 tahun dan bertempat tinggal di Indonesia. Sampel diambil menggunakan teknik convenience sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kesiapsiagaan psikologis dalam menghadapi bencana alam pada individu dewasa awal tergolong tinggi. ********** This study was conducted to identify psychological preparedness for natural disaster threat among young adults. This study employed a quantitative descriptive approach with a survey method. The measurement tool used in this study was Pyschological Preparedness Scale by Fa’uni and Diana (2021), which is a modified version of Psychological Preparedness for Disaster Threat Scale (PPDTS) developed by Zulch (2012). The sample consisted of 186 young adults aged 18 to 40 years residing in Indonesia. The sampling technique used was convenience sampling. The results of the study indicated that the psychological preparedness for natural disaster threat among young adults was relatively high.
