Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh religiusitas terhadap death anxiety yang dimediasi oleh sense of humor pada lansia yang tidak memiliki pasangan hidup. Pada penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan analisis Multivariat Path Analysis melalui PROCESS by Hayes. Sampel penelitian ini adalah sebanyak 115 lansia yang tidak memiliki pasangan hidup yang berdomisili di wilayah Banten, DKI Jakarta, dan Jawa Barat dengan pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah Death Anxiety Scale (Templer, 1970), Multidimensional Sense of Humor Scale (Thorson dan Powell, 1997), dan The Centrality of Religiosity Scale (Huber & Huber, 2012). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tidak adanya pengaruh yang signifikan dan efek mediasi antara religiusitas terhadap death anxiety yang dimediasi oleh sense of humor pada lansia yang tidak memiliki pasangan hidup. This study aims to determine the effect of religiosity on death anxiety mediated by sense of humor in the elderly who do not have a spouse. This study implements a quantitative approach with Multivariate Path Analysis analysis through PROCESS by Hayes. The sample of this study were taken from 115 elderly people living in Banten, DKI Jakarta, and West Java areas, who do not have a spouse. The data was collected using a purposive sampling technique. The instruments applied were Death Anxiety Scale (Templer, 1970), Multidimensional Sense of Humor Scale (Thorson and Powell, 1997), and The Centrality of Religiosity Scale (Huber & Huber, 2012). The results show that there is no significant effect and mediating effect between religiosity and death anxiety which was mediated by a sense of humor in the elderly who do not have a spouse.
