Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan memperoleh profil literasi sains peserta didik pada pembelajaran asam basa melalui integrasi socioscientific issues. Penelitian dilakukan pada tahun ajaran 2021-2022 terhadap 30 peserta didik kelas XI MIPA 1 SMA Negeri 33 Jakarta. Metodologi penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif. Data penelitian didapatkan melalui observasi, jurnal refleksi, tes literasi sains, lembar kerja peserta didik, dan wawancara. Pendekatan socioscientific issues diawali dengan mengenalkan isu mengenai asam basa yang akan dibahas, mengenalkan konsep asam basa yang berkaitan, memainkan peran hasil dari diskusi kelompok, dan refleksi pembelajaran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peserta didik dapat mengembangkan kemampuan berpendapat, menumbuhkan kepedulian terhadap kondisi lingkungan, dan mampu melihat permasalahan dari berbagai sudut pandang. Profil literasi sains peserta didik cukup baik dalam aspek pengetahuan dan kompetensi. Pada aspek konteks, peserta didik sebagian besar berada di level scientific illiteracy dan nominal scientific literacy. Hanya aspek sikap yang tidak mencapai tingkat conceptual scientific literacy dan multidimensional scientific literacy. Berdasarkan hasil tes literasi sains peserta didik mayoritas berada pada level scientific illiteracy dan nominal scientific literacy. This study aims to obtain the scientific literacy profile of students in acid-base learning through integration socioscientific issues. The research was conducted in the 2021-2022 academic year with 30 students in class XI MIPA 1 at SMA Negeri 33 Jakarta. The research methodology used is qualitative method. The research data was obtained through observation, reflective journals, scientific literacy tests, student worksheets, and interviews. Socioscientific issues begins with introducing issues regarding acids and bases that will be discussed, introducing related acid base concepts, playing the role of the results of group discussions, and reflecting on learning. As a result, students can develop their ability to express opinions, raise awareness of environmental conditions, and be able to see problems from various points of view. The students' scientific literacy profile is quite good in terms of knowledge and competence. Level nominal scientific literacy being the highest in terms of knowledge (42%) and competence (50%). Only the attitude aspect didn't reach the level conceptual scientific literacy and multidimensional scientific literacy. Based on the scientific literacy test, it shows that the ability of students at that level is still relatively low.
