Abstract

Pelecehan sexual dapat terjadi dimanapun, cyber-sexual harassment marak terjadi seiring dengan pesatnya perkembangan teknologi yang ada. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan gambaran pengalaman cyber-sexual harassment pada mahasiswi Universitas Negeri Jakarta. Sampel pada penelitian ini berjumlah 390 responden. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik incidental sampling. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif. Pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah survey dengan menyebar instrumen Cyber-Sexual Experiences Questionnaire (CSEQ) yang terdiri dari 3 aspek yaitu gender-based harassment, unwanted sexual attention dan sexual coercion yang dikembangkan oleh Samantha Schenk (2008). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pengalaman cyber-sexual harassment yang paling dominan dialami oleh mahasiswi Universitas Negeri Jakarta adalah gender-based harassment (M= 23.3). Usia paling tinggi skor nilai mean adalah pada aspek gender-based harassment adalah usia 24 tahun (M=27.0). Fakultas paling tinggi skor diatas nilai mean pada aspek gender-based harassment adalah Fakultas Teknik (71,4%). Angkatan paling tinggi skor nilai mean adalah angkatan 2016 pada aspek gender-based harassment dan sexual coercion dan angkatan 2017 pada aspek unwanted sexual attention. Implikasi pada penelitian ini adalah agar mahasiswi dapat menyadari bahwa pengalaman pada cyber-sexual harassment yang dialaminya merupakan bagian dari pelecehan seksual sehingga mereka dapat menjangkau pusat bantuan yang tersedia di Universitas Negeri Jakarta seperti Satgas PPKS dan UPT LBK sehingga mahasiswi yang terindikasi mengalami cyber-sexual harassment diantaranya dapat melaporkan kepada Satgas PPKS, dan melakukan konseling di UPT LBK untuk dibantu memulihkan rasa trauma akibat cyber-sexual harassment . ***** Sexual harassment can occur anywhere, and cyber-sexual harassment has become increasingly prevalent with the rapid advancement of technology. This research aimed to provide an overview of the experiences of cyber-sexual harassment among female students at Jakarta State University. The study sample consisted of 390 respondents selected through incidental sampling. The research methodology employed was quantitative, utilizing a survey instrument known as the Cyber-Sexual Experiences Questionnaire (CSEQ), developed by Samantha Schenk (2008). The CSEQ comprises three aspects: gender-based harassment, unwanted sexual attention, and sexual coercion. The findings of the study revealed that the most predominant form of cyber-sexual harassment experienced by female students at Universitas Negeri Jakarta was gender-based harassment (M=23.3). The highest mean score in the aspect of gender-based harassment was observed among individuals aged 24 (M=27.00). Furthermore, the faculty with the highest mean score above the mean value in the context of gender-based harassment was the Faculty of Engineering (71.4%). In terms of the academic year, the highest mean scores were found among the class of 2016 for gender-based harassment and sexual coercion, and the class of 2017 for unwanted sexual attention. The implications of this study emphasize the importance of raising awareness among female students regarding their experiences of cyber-sexual harassment as a form of sexual harassment. This awareness can enable them to access the support services available at Universitas Negeri Jakarta, such as Satgas PPKS (Task Force for the Prevention and Handling of Sexual Violence) and UPT LBK (Psychological Counseling Unit), allowing students who may be victims of cyber-sexual harassment to report incidents to Satgas PPKS and seek counseling at UPT LBK to facilitate their recovery from the trauma resulting from cyber-sexual harassment.
