Abstract

Ekranisasi adalah proses pelayar putihan novel menjadi sebuah film. Dengan adanya ekranisasi, terdapat perubahan yang terjadi baik itu di jenis karya awal, yakni novel, maupun pada jenis karya hasil ekranisasi, yakni film. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui ekranisasi yang terjadi pada novel Pinku to Gurē karya Kato Shigeaki yang diadaptasi menjadi film Pinku to Gurē karya Isao Yukisada, serta untuk mengetahui bagaimana unsur intrinsik novel dan film tersebut berubah setelah terjadinya ekranisasi. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif yang menggunakan metode deskripsi analisis disertai dengan teknik simak-catat untuk mengutip data. Data kemudian dianalisis menggunakan teori ekranisasi Eneste yang membagi proses ekranisasi menjadi tiga bagian yakni pengurangan, penambahan, dan perubahan bervariasi. Penelitian ini juga menggunakan pendekatan struktural untuk menganalisis unsur intrinsik yang berubah karena terjadinya ekranisasi novel Pinku to Gurē karya Kato Shigeaki dan film Pinku to Gurē karya Isao Yukisada. Berdasarkan hasil analisis, ditemukan bahwa ketiga proses ekranisasi yang dikemukakan oleh Eneste terjadi pada adaptasi novel Pinku to Gurē karya Kato Shigeaki menjadi film Pinku to Gurē karya Isao Yukisada. Pengurangan, penambahan, dan perubahan variasi berbagai adegan yang ada mempengaruhi unsur intrinsik yang terdapat pada kedua karya sastra tersebut, yakni alur, tokoh dan penokohan serta latar waktu. Perubahan unsur intrinsik itu terjadi karena adanya perbedaan maksud dan tujuan yang hendak disampaikan oleh pengarang novel Pinku to Gurē dan sutradara film Pinku to Gurē. Ecranisation is a process that turns novels into films. ***** This study aims to find out the ecranisation process that occur in Kato Shigeaki's Novel Pinku to Gurē which was adapted to a film with the same title, Pinku to Gurē, produced by Isao Yukisada and how the intrinsic element of both works changes due to ecranisation. This is a qualitative study using the descriptive analytics method and note-taking technique to collect data. The collected data are then analyzed using Eneste’s theory of ecranisation which includes three kinds of process; reduction, addition, and modification. This study also uses a structural approach to analyze how the ecranisation process affects the intrinsic elements of both novel and the film. Based on the analysis, the researcher found out that all three kinds of ecranisation process (reduction, addition, and modification) occurred in the adaptation of Kato Shigeaki’s Novel Pinku to Gurē into Pinku to Gurē film produced by Isao Yukisada. These processes (reduction, addition, and modification) that occurred in many kinds of scenes affected the intrinsic elements of the works—which are the characters, plot, and settings. The changes were made because the aims of the movie producer, Isao Yukisada, differs from the original aim of the novel writer, Kato Shigeaki.
