Abstract

Kata kunci: pengembangan media digital, Baby Caca, terapi wicara, hambatan wicara The researcher is currently engaged in the development of a digital media product aimed at facilitating speech impediment rehabilitation, which is referred to as 'Baby Caca'. The digital media for Baby Caca was developed utilizing the Dart programming language, specifically Dart PHP (Perl Hypertext Preprocessor), together with the Flutter framework. Additionally, an API (Application Programming Interface) package was employed to cater to the needs of children aged 4 years. The digital media produced by Baby Caca encompasses a variety of elements, such as visuals, recordings of SIBI pronunciations, and demonstrations of hand movements. Upon the user's selection of a specific menu and word entry, an associated image will be displayed, followed by the audio presentation of the pronunciation being repeated, accompanied by a video showcasing the hand gestures of the SIBI system. In designing digital media, Baby Caca places emphasis on pedagogical features and self-directed learning (autodidacticism). This study employs the research and development methodology, specifically utilizing the SAM (Successive Approximation Model) Instructional Design paradigm, which was developed by Michale Allen in 2012. Based on a combination of theoretical foundations and practical evidence, the feasibility of utilizing Baby Caca digital media for speech impediment therapy has been proven. Theoretical examinations were conducted by a panel of experts comprising linguists, media specialists, computer technology professionals, and doctors specializing in growth and development. In the meanwhile, the acquisition of empirical test data derived from media trials conducted on children afflicted with speech difficulties shown notable enhancements. During the first session, the observed percentage was 77%, while in the second session it increased to 80%, and in the third session it further rose to 85%. Therefore, the utilization of Baby Caca digital media exhibits considerable importance in facilitating speech therapy programs and enhancing the oral communication skills of children who experience speech impediments. It is hoped that the Baby Caca Digital Media product can be widely used by speech therapists, teachers and parents to help children speak.
