Abstract

Dinas Penanggulangan Kebakaran dan Keselamatan (Gulkarmat) DKI Jakarta menyebutkan dalam lima tahun terakhir sejak 2018 sampai Agustus 2022, ada 8.004 peristiwa kebakaran di Ibu Kota. Kebakaran dapat terjadi dimana saja dan kapan saja, salah satunya di bangunan gedung Sekolah Luar Biasa (SLB). Tantangan terbesar pada saat terjadi kebakaran di Sekolah Luar Biasa (SLB) adalah melakukan evakuasi. Penghuni gedung Sekolah Luar Biasa (SLB) yang sangat berpotensi mengalami kesulitan pada saat evakuasi adalah anak luar biasa golongan A atau penyandang tunanetra. Maka diperlukan pengamatan sistem evakuasi sekolah mengenai evakuasi dalam keadaan darurat dan respon penyandang tunanetra mengaplikasikan sistem tersebut. Metode penelitian yang digunakan oleh penulis yaitu metode deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian ini didukung oleh data-data yang didapatkan secara langsung melalui simulasi evakuasi kebakaran. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penyandang tunanetra mampu bergerak menuju jalur evakuasi dan titik kumpul saat evakuasi kebakaran. Dari total 29 responden, hanya 8 responden yang memerlukan bantuan saat proses evakuasi. Pola dan arah pergerakan seluruh responden penyandang tunanetra di SLB se-DKI berhasil mencari pintu keluar saat baik secara mandiri maupun diarahkan oleh guru/pembimbing yang berada di dalam kelas. ***** The Jakarta Fire and Safety Agency (Gulkarmat) said that in the last five years, from 2018 to August 2022, there were 8,004 fire incidents in the capital city. Fires can occur anywhere and anytime, one of which is in a special school building. The biggest challenge during a fire in a special school is evacuation. The occupants of the special school building who have the potential to experience difficulties during evacuation are class A special children or blind people. So it is necessary to observe the school evacuation system regarding evacuation in an emergency and the response of blind people to the system. The research method used by the author is the descriptive-qualitative method. The results of this study are supported by data obtained directly through fire evacuation simulations. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that blind people are able to move towards evacuation routes and gathering points during fire evacuation. Of the total 29 respondents, only 8 needed assistance during the evacuation process. The pattern and direction of movement of all blind respondents in SLB in DKI Jakarta managed to find the exit when either independently or directed by the teacher or guide who was in the classroom.
