Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pertumbuhan aset, risiko bisnis, dan struktur modal terhadap profitabilitas perusahaan ritel yang terdaftar pada Bursa Efek Indonesia BEI periode 2017-2021. Penelitian ini mempunyai 3 variabel yaitu variabel independen (pertumbuhan aset, risiko bisnis, dan struktur modal), variabel dependen (profitabilitas), dan variabel kontrol (likuiditas, firm size, dan activity ratio). Metode pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan mengakses laporan keuangan perusahaan ritel dari website Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) dan website resmi perusahaan. Teknik analisis yang digunakan yaitu metode regresi data panel. Hasil penelitian ini secara parsial menunjukkan bahwa pertumbuhan aset berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap ROA, ROE, dan ROS. Risiko bisnis secara parsial berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap ROE. Struktur modal secara parsial berpengaruh negatif signifikan terhadap ROA, ROE, ROI, dan ROS. *** This research aims to determine the influence of asset growth, business risk, and capital structure on the profitability of retail companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the period 2017-2021. The study involves three variables: independent variables (asset growth, business risk, and capital structure), dependent variable (profitability), and control variables (liquidity, firm size, and activity ratio). The sampling method employed is purposive sampling, and data collection involves accessing the financial reports of retail companies from the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) and official company websites. The analytical technique used is the panel data regression method. The partial results of this research indicate that asset growth has a significantly positive influence on ROA, ROE, and ROS. Business risk, in partial terms, has a significantly positive impact on ROE. Capital structure, in partial terms, has a significantly negative effect on ROA, ROE, ROI, and ROS.
