Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah, 1) mengetahui peningkatan kekuatan lengan setelah diberikan latihan stretch cord, 2) mengetahui peningkatan kekuatan lengan setelah diberikan latihan TRX, 3) mengetahui perbedaan peningkatan kekuatan lengan setelah diberikan latihan stretch cord dan TRX. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode kuantitatif komparatif, yaitu membandingkan kedua latihan yang berbeda dan sampel menggunakan sampling jenuh yaitu pengambilan sampel bila semua anggota populasi dijadikan sampel dengan jumlah 16 atlet. Pengumpulan data ini menggunakan instrumen tes push up selama 60 detik. Setelah diberikan latihan 16x pertemuan selanjutnya data dianalisis dengan menggunakan uji-t paired dan uji-t independent. Hasil penelitian, 1) kelompok latihan stretch cord diperoleh 1 thitung 8,333 > ttabel 2,365 berdasarkan (df)= 7 taraf signifikan 0,05 maka H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima, dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan setelah diberikan latihan TRX, 2) kelompok latihan TRX diperoleh thitung 7,089 > ttabel 2,365 berdasarkan (df)= 7 taraf signifikan 0,05 H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima sehingga dapat disimpulkan terdapat peningkatan kekuatan lengan setelah diberikan latihan TRX. 3) Tes akhir latihan stretch cord dan TRX diperoleh thitung 0,057 < ttabel 1,761 berdasarkan (df)= 14 taraf signifikan 0,05 maka Ho diterima dan H1 ditolak dapat disimpulkan bahwa tidak terdapat perbedaan yang (signifikan) dari latihan TRX dan stretch cord. Namun, berdasarkan hasil rata-rata tes akhir stretch cord 31,44 dengan TRX 35,12 bahwa hasil rata-rata TRX lebih baik terhadap peningkatan kekuatan lengan atlet. ***** The aims of this research were, 1) to determine the increase in arm strength after being given stretch cord training, 2) to find out the increase in arm strength after being given TRX training, 3) to find out the difference in increase in arm strength after being given stretch cord and TRX training. The research was carried out using a comparative quantitative method, namely comparing two different exercises and the sample used nonprobability sampling, namely sampling if all members of the population were sampled with a total of 16 athletes. This data collection used a 60 second push up test instrument. After being given 16 training sessions, the data then analyzed using paired t-test and independent t-test. The results of the research, 1) the stretch cord training group obtained 1 tcount 8.333 > ttable 2.365 based on (df)= 7 significant level 0.05, so H0 was rejected and H1 was accepted, it can be concluded that there was an increase after being given TRX training, 2) suspension training group trainer obtained tcount 7.089 > ttable 2.365 based on (df)= 7 significant level 0.05 H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted than concluded that there is an increase in arm strength after being given TRX training. 3) The final test of stretch cord and TRX training obtained tcount 0.057 < ttable 1.761 based on (df)= 14 significant level of 0.05 so Ho is accepted and H1 is rejected. It can be concluded that there is no (significant) difference between TRX and stretch cord training . However, based on the average result of the final stretch cord test of 31.44 with a TRX of 35.12, the average result of the TRX was better in increasing athlete's arm strength.
