Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) menggali informasi mengenai penyebab perempuan memutuskan untuk eksis dalam komunitas motor yang ada di Jakarta Selatan (2) menggali informasi tentang perjuangan perempuan yang tergabung dalam komunitas motor ADISTA di Jakarta Selatan. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi dengan subjek penelitian terdiri dari lima orang perempuan yang tergabung dalam komunitas motor. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan latar belakang perempuan memilih eksis dalam komunitas motor ADISTA di Jakarta Selatan baik dari faktor internal yaitu realisasi minat terhadap sepeda motor dan motivasi dalam mengembangkan kepribadian, maupun faktor eksternal yaitu untuk menambah jaringan sosial dan kecukupan finansial sebagai symbol prestise, dan bagaimana perempuan supaya dapat eksis di dalamnya, dengan melalui beberapa cara, yaitu, perempuan bekerja dalam komunitas motor, memberikan kontribusi intelektual, mencapai kesetaraan ekonomi, dan menolak menginternalisasi keliyanannya dalam ruang lingkup domestik, stigma, skeptisme, dan pelecehan seksual secara verbal. **** This research aims to: (1) dig up information about the reasons why women decide to exist in the motorbike community in South Jakarta (2) dig up information about the struggles of women who are members of the ADISTA motorbike community in South Jakarta. The data collection method used is a qualitative approach using observation, interviews and documentation methods with research subjects consisting of five women who are members of the motorbike community. The research results show the background of women choosing to exist in the ADISTA motorbike community in South Jakarta, both from internal factors, namely the realization of interest in motorbikes and motivation to develop their personality, as well as external factors, namely to increase social networks and financial adequacy as a symbol of prestige, and how women can exist in it, in several ways, namely, women work in the motorcycle community, make intellectual contributions, achieve economic equality, and refuse to internalize their otherness in the domestic sphere, stigma, skepticism, and verbal sexual harassment.
