Abstract

Abstrak: Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk merancang bangun dan menguji alat pendeteksi sampah organik dan anorganik berbasis Internet of Things (IoT). Diharapkan sistem alat ini dapat membantu dalam mendeteksi sampah organik dan anorganik serta dapat memantau tingkat ketinggian dan berat sampah pada masing-masing jenis tempat sampah melalui aplikasi Android. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode penelitian rekayasa teknik. Sistem yang diusulkan menggunakan ESP32 sebagai mikrokontroler, sensor proximity kapasitif, sensor proximity infrared, sensor ultrasonik, loadcell HX711, DF Player, dan motor servo yang diintegrasikan dengan aplikasi android sebagai IoT (Internet of Things). Keunggulan sistem bersifat mudah digunakan dan dapat diakses dari jarak jauh secara real-time. Hasil pengujian pada alat pendeteksi dilakukan dengan sampah organik dan sampah anorganik. Nilai rata-rata akurasi keberhasilan alat pendeteksi dalam mendeteksi sampah organik sebesar 83.33% dan nilai rata-rata akurasi keberhasilan alat pendeteksi dalam mendeteksi sampah anorganik sebesar 90%. Sehingga, rata-rata hasil akurasi keberhasilan alat pendeteksi dalam mendeteksi sampah organik dan anorganik adalah 87.5%. Hasil pengujian pada aplikasi, smartphone dapat memberikan informasi mengenai tingkat ketinggian dan berat sampah pada tempat sampah organik dan anorganik. Abstract: The main objective of this research is to design and test Intenet of Things (IoT) based organic and inorganic waste detection tool. It is hoped that this tool system can help in sorting organic and inorganic waste and can monitor the height and weight of waste in each type of trash via an Android application. The research was carried out using engineering research methods. The proposed system uses ESP32 as a microcontroller, capacitive proximity sensor, infrared proximity sensor, ultrasonic sensor, HX711 loadcell, DF Player, and servo motor which is integrated with an Android application as IoT (Internet of Things). The advantage of the system is that it is easy to use and can be accessed remotely in real-time. The test results on the sorting equipment were carried out with organic waste and inorganic waste. The average accuracy value for the success of the sorting tool in sorting organic waste was 83.33% and the average value for the accuraccy of the success of the sorting tool in sorting inorganic waste was 90%. So, the average accuraccy result for the success of the sorting tool in sorting organic and inorganic waste is 87.5%. Test results on the smartphone application can provide information regarding the height and weight of waste in organic and inorganic waste bins.
