Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan proses terbentuknya bank sampah di komunitas lokal RW. 010 Perumahan Taman Duta Cisalak Depok, mengetahui motivasi warga bergabung ke Bank Sampah Teratai, dan menjabarkan peran modal sosial komunitas lokal dalam pelaksanaan bank sampah. Penelitian ini menggunakan Teori Modal Sosial milik Robert D. Putnam dan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Lokasi penelitian berada di Pos Keamanan RW. 010 Teratai, tepatnya di Jl. Teratai X Perumahan Taman Duta Cisalak Depok yang berlangsung dari bulan Februari hingga Oktober 2023. Subjek penelitian ini mengambil 5 (lima) orang informan yang terdiri dari pengurus dan nasabah bank sampah. Pengumpulan data yang dilakukan oleh peneliti adalah observasi di lokasi penelitian, wawancara mendalam bersama para informan menggunakan wawancara terstruktur dan tak terstruktur, dokumentasi yang peneliti dapatkan, studi pustaka, dan Arsip Bank Sampah Teratai. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, peneliti mengetahui bahwa Bank Sampah Teratai didirikan oleh dan untuk warga komunitas lokal RW. 010 Perumahan Taman Duta Cisalak Depok yang terbentuk atas dasar regulasi pemerintah dan kepedulian warga terhadap lingkungan. Warga termotivasi untuk bergabung ke Bank Sampah Teratai karena ada tiga faktor, yaitu faktor sosial, faktor lingkungan, dan faktor ekonomi. Sehingga, peran modal sosial pun terlihat pada warga komunitas lokal yang menjalin jaringan sosial, menaati norma, dan membangun kepercayaan antar berbagai pihak dalam pengelolaan bank sampah. Di waktu yang sama, bank sampah meningkatkan modal sosial yang dijumpai pada kesepakatan bersama sebagai bentuk norma, sinergisitas yang baik merupakan wujud jaringan sosial, serta motivasi dan partisipasi warga komunitas lokal dalam bergabung ke Bank Sampah Teratai menjadi landasan terbangunnya kepercayaan. Dampak dari pelaksanaan bank sampah lebih menonjol secara sosial dan secara lingkungan di Perumahan Taman Duta Cisalak Depok, tepatnya di RW. 010. ***** This research aims to describe the process of forming a waste bank in the local community RW. 010 Perumahan Taman Duta Cisalak Depok, find out the motivation of residents to join Teratai Waste Bank, and describe the role of local community social capital in the implementation of the waste bank. This research uses Robert D. Putnam's Social Capital Theory and a qualitative approach with a case study method. The research location is at the Security Post of RW. 010 Teratai, precisely on Jl. Teratai X Perumahan Taman Duta Cisalak Depok which took place from February to October 2023. The subject of this research took 5 (five) informants consisting of waste bank administrators and customers. Data collection carried out by researchers is observation at the research location, in-depth interviews with informants using structured and unstructured interviews, documentation that researcher obtained, literature study, and Teratai Waste Bank Archives. Based on the results of the study, the researcher found out that Teratai Waste Bank was established by and for local community members of RW. 010 Perumahan Taman Duta Cisalak Depok which was formed on the basis of government regulations and residents' concern for the environment. Residents are motivated to join Teratai Waste Bank because of three factors, namely social factors, environmental factors, and economic factors. The role of social capital is also seen in local community members who establish social networks, obey norms, and build trust between various parties in waste bank management. At the same time, the waste bank increases social capital found in mutual agreement as a form of norm, good synergy is a form of social network, and the motivation and participation of local community members in joining the Teratai Waste Bank is the basis for building trust. The impact of the implementation of the waste bank is more prominent socially and environmentally in Perumahan Taman Duta Cisalak Depok, precisely in RW 010.
