Abstract

Penelitian ini dilaksanakan untuk mendeskripsikan tingkat pemahaman siswa SMA kelas 12 di Kabupaten Lebak mengenai konsep elektrolit pada Pelajaran kimia. Penelitian ini dilakukan ketika awal semester ganjil tahun ajaran 2023/2024 pada Siswa kelas 12 SMAN 1, SMAN 2 dan SMAN 3 Rangkasbitung di Kabupaten Lebak. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif deskriptif dengan desain penelitian yang digunakan yaitu cross-sectional survei. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa SMA kelas 12 IPA SMAN 1,SMAN 2, dan SMAN 3 Rangkasbitung di Kabupaten Lebak yang berjumlah 875 siswa. Penelitian ini dilakukan terhadap 302 siswa SMAN kelas 12 di Kabupaten Lebak, hasil penelitian ini ditemukan bahwa rata-rata nilai pemahaman konsep elektrolit siswa kelas 12 SMA di Kabupaten Lebak sebesar 20,0198 yang artinya cukup namun relatif rendah. Mayoritas siswa (40% dari 302 siswa) memiliki tingkat pemahaman konsep yang sedang, tingkat persentase miskonsepsi 48%. Tingkat persentase paham konsep elektrolit pada kategori materi yaitu 12%, pada kategori pemahaman interaksi antar partikel yaitu 11% dan kategori pemahaman secara kuantitatif yaitu 4 persen. Persentase tingkat miskonsepsi siswa pada kategori rendah yaitu 30%, kategori sedang 24% dan kategori tinggi 46%, sehingga dapat disimpulkan tingkat pemahaman konsep elektrolit siswa kelas 12 SMAN di Kabupaten lebak berada di kategori rendah. Uji statistic chi-square juga menunjukkan faktor jenis kelamin, kelas, dan juga sekolah memiliki perbedaan signifikan terhadap frekuensi harapan pemahaman konsep elektrolit siswa SMAN kelas 12. ***** This study was conducted to describe the level of understanding of 12th grade high school students in Lebak District regarding the concept of electrolytes in chemistry lessons. This research was carried out at the beginning of the strange semester of the 2023–2024 school year in 12th grade students of SMAN 1, SMAN 2, and SMAN 3 Rangkasbitung in Lebak district. The research method used is quantitative descriptive, with the design of the research being cross-sectional surveys. The population of this research is high school students in 12th grade IPA SMAN 1, SMAN 2, and SMAN 3 Rangkasbitung in Lebak district, which totaled 875 students. This study was carried out on 302 SMAN students in the 12th grade in Lebak district. The results of this study found that the average grade of understanding of electrolyte concepts in 12th grade students in Lebak district was 20.0198, which is sufficient but relatively low. The majority of students (40% of 302 students) have a moderate level of conceptual understanding; the percentage rate of misconceptions is 48%. The percentages of understanding of electrolyte concepts in the material category are 12%, in the inter-particle interaction understanding category they are 11%, and in the quantitative understanding category they are 4%. The chi-square test also showed that gender factors, classes, and schools had significant differences over the expected frequency of understanding the electrolyte concepts of SMAN students in the 12th grade.
