Abstract

Banyak orang tua yang mengeluh bahwa jika anak sd dihadapkan dengan benda nyata untuk menghitung luas,keliling, dan volume masih bingung. Pada pembelajaran matematika masih banyak siswa yang kurang aktif dalam mengikuti pembelajaran, salah satunya pada materi geometri seperti pengukuran luas dan keliling bangun datar. Dalam penyampaian materi guru hanya menggunakan metode konvensional seperti ceramah dan hanya menggunakan buku sebagai sumber belajar.Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan atau action research yang dilaksanakan di kelas, sehingga lazim disebut penelitian tindakan kelas. Tujuan penelitian tindakan kelas ini untuk memperbaiki efektifitas dan efisiensi praktik pendidikan, terutama yang terjadi di Sekolah Dasar. Pada siklus pra siklus, persentase perolehan hanya mencapai 45,45% . Pada siklus I, terlihat bahwa terjadi peningkatan pada hasil penilaian instrumen tes kemampuan pengukuran siswa 63,63%. Pada siklus II, hasil penilaian instrumen tes sudah mencapai target yang diharapkan, yaitu 86,36%.Dengan menggunakan aplikasi geogebra sebagai media pembelajaran secara berkelompok, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan aplikasi GeoGebra dalam pembelajaran matematika mampu meningkatkan kemampuan pengukuran siswa kelas IV. Penelitian ini menemukan beberapa manfaat dari penggunaan GeoGebra dalam pembelajaran matematika, terutama peningkatan pemahaman siswa tentang konsep pengukuran, peningkatan kemampuan visualisasi, peningkatan motivasi siswa, dan peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah. ***** Many parents complain that if elementary school children are faced with real objects, they are still confused about calculating area, circumference and volume. In mathematics learning, there are still many students who are less active in participating in learning, one of which is in geometry material such as measuring the area and perimeter of flat shapes. In delivering the material, teachers only use conventional methods such as lectures and only use books as learning resources. This research is action research carried out in the classroom, so it is commonly called classroom action research. The aim of this classroom action research is to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of educational practices, especially those that occur in elementary schools. In the pre-cycle cycle, the percentage gain only reached 45.45%. In cycle I, it was seen that there was an increase in the results of the student measurement ability test instrument assessment of 63.63%. In cycle II, the results of the test instrument assessment had reached the expected target, namely 86.36%. By using the GeoGebra application as a learning medium in groups, it can be concluded that using the GeoGebra application in mathematics learning was able to improve the measuring abilities of class IV students. This research found several benefits from using GeoGebra in mathematics learning, especially increasing students' understanding of measurement concepts, increasing visualization skills, increasing student motivation, and increasing problem solving abilities.
