Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana tiga faktor, yaitu rasio ketergantungan penduduk, rata-rata lama sekolah, dan produk domestik regional bruto atas dasar harga konstan (PDRB ADHK) memengaruhi Indeks Kedalaman Kemiskinan di Provinsi Papua dari tahun 2011 hingga 2020. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif, dan teknik analisis data panel. Indeks kedalaman kemiskinan, rasio ketergantungan penduduk, rata-rata lama sekolah, dan PDRB ADHK Provinsi Papua adalah unit analisis yang digunakan. Data ini dikumpulkan dari Badan Pusat Statistik dan lembaga terkait lainnya. Studi ini mempelajari 9 Kabupaten/Kota di Provinsi Papua selama 10 tahun (2011-2020). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa rasio ketergantungan penduduk berpengaruh negatif dan tidak signifikan terhadap indeks kedalaman kemiskinan, sedangkan rata-rata lama sekolah dan PDRB ADHK berpengaruh negatif dan signifikan terhadap indeks kedalaman kemiskinan. Secara bersamaan, Rasio Ketergantungan Penduduk, rata-rata lama sekolah, dan PDRB ADHK memiliki pengaruh sebesar 84,60% terhadap indeks kedalaman kemiskinan 2011–2020, dan sisa 15,40% dipengaruhi faktor lain. Untuk memperbarui penelitian tentang kemiskinan, peneliti menyarankan untuk menggunakan indikator lain untuk mengukur tingkat kemiskinan, seperti indeks keparahan kemiskinan. Selain itu, penelitian dapat digabungkan dengan variabel independen lainnya untuk diuji sebagai komponen untuk menjelaskan indeks kedalaman kemiskinan. **** The purpose of this study is to determine how three factors, namely population dependency ratio, mean years of schooling, and gross regional domestic product at constant prices affect the Poverty Gap Index in Papua Province from 2011 to 2020. This research uses a quantitative approach, and panel data analysis techniques. Poverty gap index, population dependency ratio, mean years of schooling, and gross regional domestic product at constant prices of Papua Province are the units of analysis used. These data were collected from the Central Bureau of Statistics and other relevant institutions. This study examines 9 regencies/cities in Papua Province for 10 years (2011-2020). The results of this study show that the population dependency ratio has a negative and insignificant effect on the poverty gap index, while the mean years of schooling and gross regional domestic product at constant prices have a negative and significant effect on the poverty gap index. Together, the population dependency ratio, mean years of schooling, and gross regional domestic product at constant prices have an influence of 84.60% on the 2011-2020 poverty gap index, and the remaining 15.40% is influenced by other factors. To update research on poverty, researchers suggest using other indicators to measure poverty levels, such as the poverty severity index. In addition, research can be combined with other independent variables to be tested as components to explain the poverty gap index.
