Abstract

Ayang Tria Basmallah, Evaluasi dan Optimalisasi menggunakan Jaringan Virtual Local Area Network (VLAN) dengan Metode Network Development Life Cycle (NDLC) di SMKN 1 KEMANG. Dosen Pembimbing: M.Ficky Duskarnaen, ST., M.Sc., Via Tuhamah Fauziastuti, S.SI., M.Ed. Program Studi Pendidikan Teknik Informatika & Komputer. Fakultas Teknik. Universitas Negeri Jakarta. 2024 Penelitian dilakukan dengan judul "Evaluasi dan Optimalisasi menggunakan Jaringan Virtual Local Area Network (VLAN) dengan Metode Network Development Life Cycle (NDLC) di SMKN 1 KEMANG." Metode NDLC digunakan untuk membangun jaringan dalam enam tahap, mulai dari analisis hingga pengelolaan. Dalam penelitian ini, peneliti juga menambahkan evaluasi dan optimalisasi Quality of Service (QoS) selama tahap simulasi prototyping untuk hasil yang lebih baik di masa depan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dengan menerapkan VLAN dengan metode NDLC, kualitas jaringan dapat meningkat. Penurunan kualitas jaringan disebabkan oleh bertambahnya parameter delay sebesar 59,75 ms, penurunan kualitas jaringan sebesar 193,72 bps yang disebabkan oleh parameter throughput, dan diikuti oleh penurunan kualitas jaringan yang disebabkan oleh parameter jitter berkurang sebesar 3,34 ms. Diharapkan penelitian ini dapat menjadi panduan bagi SMKN 1 KEMANG untuk meningkatkan efisiensi dan keamanan jaringan dengan menerapkan VLAN berdasarkan NDLC. Hasil akhir dari penelitian ini adalah penerapan jaringan VLAN yang dapat meningkatkan efisiensi dan keamanan jaringan, serta memberikan nilai yang lebih baik dibandingkan dengan infrastruktur jaringan yang sudah ada. State University of Jakarta. 2024 The research was conducted with the title "Evaluation and Optimization using Virtual Local Area Network (VLAN) with Network Development Life Cycle (NDLC) method at SMKN 1 KEMANG." The NDLC method is used to build a network in six stages, from analysis to management. In this study, the researcher also added the evaluation and optimization of Quality of Service (QoS) during the prototyping simulation stage for better results in the future. The results show that by implementing VLANs and NDLC methods, network quality can be improved. The decrease in network quality was caused by an increase in the delay parameter of 59,75 ms, a decrease in network quality of 193,72 bps caused by the throughput parameter and followed by a decrease in network quality caused by the jitter parameter decreasing by 3,34 ms. It is hoped that this research can be a guide for SMKN 1 KEMANG to improve efficiency and network security by implementing VLANs based on NDLC. Network segmentation in each classroom and the use of link aggregation will help in improving the quality of the network. The end result of this study is the application of VLAN networks that can improve network efficiency and security, as well as provide better value compared to existing network infrastructure.
