Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh pemahaman politik identitas terhadap partisipasi politik mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Pancasila dan Kewarganegaraan (PPKN) Universitas Negeri Jakarta (UNJ) dalam Pemilihan Umum Badan Eksekutif Mahasiswa (BEM) UNJ. Menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif, data primer dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner yang disebarkan kepada 76 responden, yang merupakan mahasiswa S1 Prodi PPKN UNJ. Analisis data dilakukan melalui beberapa tahapan, termasuk analisis deskriptif, uji validitas dan reliabilitas, uji asumsi klasik, dan analisis regresi linear sederhana Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh negatif yang signifikan antara pemahaman politik identitas dengan partisipasi politik mahasiswa. Hasil uji t menghasilkan nilai t hitung sebesar -2.393 dengan signifikansi 0.019, yang berarti bahwa pengaruh ini signifikan secara statistik. Koefisien regresi untuk variabel pemahaman politik identitas adalah -0.516, menunjukkan bahwa setiap peningkatan satu unit dalam pemahaman politik identitas akan menyebabkan penurunan partisipasi politik mahasiswa sebesar 0.516 unit. Koefisien determinasi (R2) sebesar 0.072 mengindikasikan bahwa 7.2% variasi dalam partisipasi politik dapat dijelaskan oleh pemahaman politik identitas, sementara sisanya 92.8% dipengaruhi oleh variabel lain yang tidak termasuk dalam model penelitian ini. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh negatif yang signifikan antara pemahaman politik identitas dengan partisipasi politik mahasiswa. Artinya, semakin tinggi pemahaman individu tentang politik identitas, semakin rendah tingkat partisipasi politik mereka dalam Pemilu BEM UNJ. Kata Kunci: Politik Identitas, Partisipasi Politik, Pemilu BEM, Mahasiswa, PPKN, UNJ. ***** This study aims to explore the influence of identity politics understanding on the political participation of students in the Civics Education Study Program (PPKN) at the State University of Jakarta (UNJ) in the election of the Student Executive Board (BEM) at UNJ. Using a quantitative research method, primary data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 83 respondents, who are undergraduate students of the PPKN Study Program at UNJ. Data analysis was carried out through several stages, including descriptive analysis, validity and reliability tests, classical assumption tests, and simple linear regression analysis. The results of the study show that there is a significant negative influence between the understanding of identity politics and the political participation of students. The t-test results show a t-value of -2.393 with a significance of 0.019, indicating that this influence is statistically significant. The regression coefficient for the identity politics understanding variable is -0.516, indicating that each unit increase in identity politics understanding will cause a decrease in students' political participation by 0.516 units. The coefficient of determination (R2) of 0.072 indicates that 7.2% of the variation in political participation can be explained by identity politics understanding, while the remaining 92.8% is influenced by other variables not included in this research model. The research findings indicate a significant negative correlation between the understanding of identity politics and students' political participation. This means that the higher an individual's understanding of identity politics, the lower their level of political participation in the UNJ Student Council Election.
